I race on a carpet track and I noticed that every one else was running these tires on the front axle of 2wd trucks. Guys who had dumped hundreds of dollars into upgrades still swore by these cheap stock Team Associated tires. So I gave them a try. They need to be broken in to get the best result. At worst, they have the same amount of grip that the soft compound prolines I used to run had. Carpet is an office type, similar to ozite. We have wood jumps that these tires give great traction on as well where every other tire just slides all over on. The wear on these are wonderful, so its saves money on the wallet/CC. Great choice from indoor carpet tires, the Losi Strike tire is probably very similar but have not tried. I've never tried on dirt, and I hear form other club members they are lousy in that element.
