This is a great soldering station and very well designed and built. However, there are a few things that could be done to make it even better. (1) Put a couple flats on each of the legs, so one can use a small adjustable wrench to tighten them into the base. (2) Remove the burr on the ends of the round bars, caused by rounding their ends, before chroming them, so it's easier to initially slide the main hub and alligator clips on to them. (3) Finally, utilize knurled knob screws, like the one in the main hub, for the alligator clips, instead of Allen head set screws. This would allow one to more readily adjust the position of the alligator clips, without having to waste time hunting down the right size Allen wrench to adjust them. |
