This hands free soldering station is functionally as good as it looks in the video. The fit and finish is a bit rough. It was necessary to file both holes in the center clamp and all in all three alligator clips just to get them over the posts. the threads in the three legs were very rough and difficult to screw into the base. There are no instructions so of course since there are two ways to put the center clamp together I picked the wrong one the first time (watch the video again before you put it together). For $32 you shouldn't have to work so hard to put it together. Oh, and the fuel hose alligator clip pads shown in the video are not part of the kit. I think they are a good idea and luckily I had some fuel hose laying around. All and all I'm glad I bought it. |
