I've run this combo for three months now in my B4.1 WC. I'm just getting back into the hobby and this was my first time purchasing a brushless combo for racing. I've been racing Novice Buggy at my local track and it has been a pretty decent setup. I've noticed that other 17.5 cars were much faster than mine, even with the same gearing. After buying a new Team Epic 17.5 motor, I can see where the short commings of this combo lie. The motor. My new motor is much more quiet and has a lot more power. The motor included in this combo is not a standard Ballistic motor and cannot be upgraded with Ballistic parts. The ESC, on the other hand, has been great. No issues. Does what I need it to do. If I had it to all over again, I would have bought the Clubman ESC and a separate motor. |
