Best temp. gun out there. If your gonna spend the money on a good engine then this is a absolute for your pit bag....Other temp guns just don't get the accurate reading needed...imo. and if you see a guy in the pit lane with one check your and his against each other at race conditions and you will see why the cost is there.

Sorry not knocking the tool but $259 come on thats insane!!!!!! Whoever reads this post u are way better off to go to a tool maker like snap on and do ur tool shopping!! Way bigger selection with life time warr. no hassel the rc tools are way over priced items that only make people think they need cause its sold aiming at the hobby! Do ur homework and find a place that sells tools even call snap on they can even make a stop at ur house with the tool truck if u make a decent order or they will a[…]

Compared my HPI tep guage to a friends Exergen, the HPI one was within 1 degree of the exergen. If you have the money to spend buy it, especially if you do alot of night racing and want the backlight. But don't buy it if you think that your temp gun is off so you need to buy this one. Compare temps with a friends exergen and find out how close your temp gun really is.

A must have. The best engine tuning tool you can have. After finding out my $40 temp gun was 20 degrees off, I bought the exergen and it was the best purchase I have made.

Any one running races this is a must have. Don't kid yourself like I did a buy cheap'os until ya have enough money to own this. Buy it now, you'll be glad you did. The best isnt cheap.

This is the best Temp Gun money can buy for this hobby.Its 260 dollars but its better than getting an off reading and over heating you 300 or 400 dollar motor.
