They have corrected the issue in current FT kits as I have just put one together and see no issues with the differential shims. I would recommend this 4wd kit over the SCTE due this simple fact: you will need to purchase an additional $400 to $600 worth of hop-ups to dial-in the SCTE. This is not necessary with the SC104wd FT kit. Since this truck is at least one pound lighter than the SCTE, you will finish longer "Mains" than the SCTE. The correct motor, ESC, and servo are the biggest decisions with this kit. Recommend the Savox 2271 or 2274 servo. Also, recommend the VX10R Viper ESC and Viper 4.5VST-L motor. The servo may be tough to remove/install; however, the entire kit requires less maintenance than the SCTE. Again, strictly my experience from owning both kits. |
