Bought the clutch about a year or so ago. I used it 1 time and thought it was great. I ran this clutch in my mugen buggy for about 5 races and thought it felt snappy and was a good clutch. Shortly after, I noticed the clutch started to drag and I needed to get more rpm in order to get the clutch to engage. Well, the shoes were done. also, the spring tops were rubbing on the clutch bell. As someone mention, the design I think is pretty cool. The initial force of the clutch is also very strong, but, the clutch shoe material is alittle too soft. Maybe 7075 Aluminum should have been used. I like the clutch but it did wear much faster than I though it would. If they came out with another type of shoe, I would be glad to try, but, I'm a little hard pressed to purchase shoes for this clutch knowing they will wear out quickly. |
