This set up is great - when it works. I went through several ESCs. Warranty support is good. It would go to program mode and you could not get it back out. It would not run. Never really got the problem figured out.
I dont like the way the wiring is attached to this motor. The rubber boot is very soft. It does not hold the wiring in place going into the can. One of my motor leads actually frayed and broke right as I set my truck on the track for a main. I was revving it up to check controls and pop, smoke - dead. Couldnt race. It had been running like crap for several packs. It had also been losing power for several runs and finally broke. I took it apart trimmed and soldered back up the frayed connection and it ran like a champ for a while. Then it just started cogging and doing weird stuff. I dont have time to mess with my stuff. I want to be able to tune and race. Not fiddle with sketchy parts and have to throw in a back up at the last minute. |
