Been running this for a couple weeks in my son's Helion Dominus 4x4 SCT. I had a Castle Sidewinder SCT in there before, which was good... This combo bumps it up to... insane! Seems like Viper has finally got the kinks worked out of their mfg process - certainly had this on back order for a long time. The fit and finish on the whole thing is like a work of art. The brakes aren't as smooth feeling as the Castle, but I think there is some sort of anti-lock pulsing going on there... on the Castle I could lock the tires and slide (in a 4x4), however the Viper seems to brake it quicker, without locking, even doing a bit of a nose wheelie due to the speed of it. From full-speed (which is about 45mph according to telemetry), the truck will stop in less than 10 ft.
Temp-wise, nothing even gets warm. ESC is 98/99°F and motor has never been over 110°F - I'm running a 13t pinion, so I may experiment and take it up a tooth or two to see what THAT's like!
Overall, I'm very satisfied, and I'd definitely buy another. Maybe once I get my SCTE! Thanks A Main!
