They have a fairly pliable rubber; but is not sticky enough. Maybe that will increase longevity and that's why I'm giving them 3 stars, they are much cheaper and so far have withstand better the abuse, at the cost of handling and grip. I really didn't need any additional balancing on any of the 6 wheels that I bought. The rubber is super grippy even on wet asphalt. The tires are well glued to the rims and they have totally transformed my car's handling, acceleration and braking. I liked the inclusion of the Dynamite Speedtreads stickers too.
