This is a great RTR! I've had this truck for about a month and I've beat the crap out of it, but it has been a beast. I run it pretty much every day. It starts very easily, idles well, and the KE25 engine runs strong. There are tons of upgrades and replacement parts for everything. Its a really tough truck and great for bashing out of the box. Obviously if you wanted to get into serious racing this could be a starting point, but you will spend some money in upgrades for more desirable handling characteristics, but this should be just about all you need for a good basher.
Top upgrades in my opinion:
1: The wheels and tires are pretty cheap and the tires will wear quickly. I opted for some AKA wheels and tires.
2: The servos could stand some more torque (at least the steering servo in particular) so I replaced both the servos with Savox 1256TGs
I believe those two things are this trucks weakest points and with those upgrades you have an outstanding kit that will last a very long time if properly maintained. I've had Kysosho cars since the late 80s, and their manuals have always sucked so if this is your first nitro make sure you get good advice on break-in procedures. Cheers. |
