Totally agree with Stickman!! I just got these today (9/Jan/2012) and they stripped the adapter threads the very first time I put the screws in (didn't even begin to tighten them). I'm not sure what extremely small screw they're using but I had to drill and tap it up to a 2-56 to make it work, now it tightens down fine. I just hope they hold up on the race track......................UPDATE 19/Feb/2012 >>> While racing we toasted a bearing and had to replace it but the screw on the hex adapter st[More…] |

Doesn't fit well on 12mm hex wheels, even the JConcepts ones. To make it fit you have to tighten the hex screw a little more but you'll end up stripping th threads. Poorly made. Buy the associated ones they fit well. |

These adapters are a great solution in trying to keep the axle pins from breaking, which was my original problem. But like many of these reviews have stated, the screws can strip. The included instructions say to add a small amount of locktite to the screw, DONT DO THIS. There is no need to apply locktite. Even if the screw comes loose, it doesn't matter if your tire is on the adapter; its not going anywhere. Just check the screw periodically. Overall these things are a good product and have sav[More…] |

I have had no issues with these as others have described.
I use them with the jconcepts 8/32 black nut bolts...makes changing tires less of a hassle. |

I've got these and like the other reviewers, one of the screws stripped out the first time tightened it. The problem is the bolt is too short, and only about 2 threads engage the aluminum. I was able to get a longer 2mm x 6 DuBro bolt at my LHS and fix the problem with no threading or tapping required. (DuBro part #2112 if your looking for it). Love the hexes, they're beautiful and functional, but they lose rating for needing to be band-aided out of the box. |

Set screws stripped out the first time we removed and replaced the rear tires. Threads in the Aluminum seem to be really thin. I like the concept, but not this solution. I am trying the AE and PL models now to see they are any better. |

Looks nice but not very durable. First time on track w/ SC10 somehow the hex bent were the screw goes in. Had rouble getting my wheels back on. Had to shape it back, very soft. Better to get the solid prolines, I hope. |
