Hiya folks. I felt I needed to say a couple of words here because reading the other reviews leads me to understand that people don't quite 'get' what this system offers over 'other' 540 systems, such as the velineon for example. If you swapped out your velineon or other system for this system with no other changes, you'd get roughly the same performance, except it would run cooler and give you better battery duration. Where this system absolutely leaves the 2-pole 540 motors behind is on torque. You can gear up your slash VXL or whatever, a LOT before you start to strain the capabilities of this motor. This motor makes a lot more power than a non-4-pole 540, and should get the recognition it deserves for the little technical marvel that it is. I'm running this in a SCRT10 on 3S with 16/46 gearing and tearing the place up. Put the fan that's meant for the motor on top of the ESC instead, since the motor is never going to get warm. Remember that being a 4-pole, it will behave as if it was a 7500kv (twice as many poles), but run as cool as a 3800kv, so GET SOME BIGGER PINIONS GUISE!11!! |
