Performance seems similar to VXL with same gearing. Temps approx 40 degrees f lower. Day: 91 degrees f, track loose top with sand on top (low traction), track temp about 110, Traxxas Slash 4x4 2s lipo, 13x54 gearing, Caliber m3 tires. VXL, motor 218 avg, ESC 196 avg 2 battery run, 15 minutes between runs. Sidewinder, motor 168 avg, ESC 172 avg 2 battery run, 10 minutes between runs. No fans for cooling were used for either setup in this case. Point: runs much cooler for similar performance in this example. This should lead to better durability... |
