Installed in FT SC10 this past weekend running 19/87. Installed the fan over the ESC. On a few runs with different 2s lipos with my Thunderpower 65c being the best battery the hottest the motor got was about 105 degrees. ESC didn't seem to be getting too hot, but will have to reserve judgement until I get it on the track and run it several laps.
The motor in this combo is brutal to say the least. I couldn't keep the front of the truck down with my servo travel set to 100%, so I backed it down to 60% and it's still brutal but manageable. I haven't changed any of the default settings, I hope some tuning will make the power delivery more linear.
Overall with only a few days of ownership, I'm happy with the combo at the price offered, let just hope other manufactures get on board and we see prices drop on their offerings. |
