I Just finished building this buggy a few days ago and just now have three tanks run through the engine "Idled the first tank and kept the speed down for the second tank varying the load on the engine then ran short bursts of full power for the third tank" It is still somewhat tight but will improve as it is run, very easy to break in! Anyway as far as the build is concerned The buggy builds well, it is very easy to build so don't let this box full of parts intimidate you! All the parts fit great and come in marked bags that build bag by bag according to the instructions which are well layed out. The illustrations are clear and are not confusing compared to some of the other car brands that I have built however I recommend that you watch the many build videos that carter to the Baja series on the net which will about answer any question you may have about building this kit. Its handling is good for its size and weight out of the box I haven't had a chance to set it up yet so I know it will improve! It is not hard to handle and literately floats over the bumps and ruts and tracks great and is loads of fun to drive! Breaking is great too, brought it down from speed to a complete stop in short order.
Now a few words; this buggy is a fun and easy build and could be easily built by a newcomer however while this buggy is easy to setup and drive, this buggy is heavy and takes a little time to get used to, this buggy is not as nimble and responsive as an 1/8 or 1/10 scale and will not accelerate, jump or stop like one so I would In my opinion recommend against choosing this buggy for your first RC due to its weight and size. You do not want this thing hitting you or someone else! Also this kit comes with a small bottle of oil to get you started, Follow the directions on the bottle! because it is not enough to make a gallon! I also recommend outwears for the pull start and air filter. All in all this kit is wonderful and I had a good time building it and so far have had a blast running it! I'll post more as I run it take care folks! |
