They don't get pulled back like previous designs that would render them useless. I never noticed a change in handling after installing these; didn't know others were having trouble. If you want to save your chassis I see no reason not to run these. I have a original rc8 chassis that has not one spot of anodizing left, except of course for where the skid plates are. Has 2 full season and going on it s third with my son behind her. It has been through two state series seasons, numerous club races and club series races, 5 BIG events.
