I bought a savage x right after wasting my money on two traxxas models. My piston rod blew apart and wiped out my whole engine after 2 1/2 gallons of fuel also. hpi all the way! The truck itself is quite sturdy exept arount the a arms. If you are going to pay this kind of money, you would be better off with the savage. its much more sturdy and the engine fits is very well. The only thing i really dislike about this truck though is the starting system. The easy start is not so easy after all. I just got a pull start for the truck and am going to be putting it on real soon. Overall i do reccomend this truck to those who are just planning on bashing around the yard and having a little fun.
