This regulator MIGHT work ok if you ONE factory servo on an electric car. But your ESC would just do that for you. If you are running nitro, like me and thought, well this would save the hassle of buying a castle and having to program it. WRONG. If you have anything other than factory servos, and I do not think it could even run 2 factory servos, it falls flat on its face. its nominal voltage is 6.12 volts at rest, but turn the wheel and it drops to around 5v. If you hit the throttle and steering, even with the car at rest is will drop below 3.8v. What a pile. Im sure there is an instance where this works fine, but for anyone who appreciates quality, just buy a castle, the castle link $40 total and be done with it. My castle BEC works flawlessly in this very same application. Enjoy. |
