The tray is thick and strong, but it doesn't work nearly as well as the description promises. I run my truck mostly on my loamy backyard track. While the tray does prevent a lot of dirt from coming into the chassis, it doesn't prevent everything. It also traps dust and dirt between itself and the underside of the chassis. It does however do and excellent job protecting the servo and underside of the chassis.
