Johnathan Scott - Rating: Verified Owner Sunday, January 29, 2012 tried mine out today, must have been install error cause i lost a rear 1/2 way through quali. they look and feel great. a bit heavier but i could not tell from the stand. i re installed the spun off tire after cleaning and i'm pretty sure its on there right now. if they work out, i can see saving lots of money on wheels and glue, also the added benefit of switching tires or foams at the track depending on conditions. great product so far. I have not had great luck gluing tires even with cleaning beads, etc. However, with the bead-lock wheels they stay put! I’ve experienced big-air, running 3s lipo with wheels spinning into discs to get the nose up and they held tight. They are heavier, but for me, a bit heavier is faster than a dismounted tire. If I were “faster” then maybe I’d get pre-mounted tires. But for now the bead-locks are THE way to go.
