William Schlentz - Rating: Wednesday, August 01, 2012 FWIW, Alkilines and many of the off the shelf NiMh batteries don't provide the current an ignitor needs to really light up an element. I love the these small ignitors but the performance left much to be desired UNTIL I found these Awesome HIGH DISCHARGE AA's on a cheap battery pack website. The capacity is only 1800 MaHr or so but they will put out 30 amps! Problem solved, they last a long time, multiple race weekends before a recharge. These pencil type of ignitors are all I own now. Problem is its only good for a back up. I put a brand new AA duracel in and 2 easy starts and it was dead. I figured maybe a bad battery but nope, 3 batteries down the drain. So I use an OFNA D cell and used it for days before I had to replace the battery. So the dynamite is a back up. to me it was a waist of my money. 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful.
