This is my first RC truck and RC experience. The truck does not come ready-to-run as advertised out of the box. Although it will run, I had the expectation that little had to be done to get the truck in shape. From my experience you need to check a few things before really gunning the truck. Check that the spur gear has the proper mesh and is really tightened down. I burnt my spur gear before I was done with the tuning process of the break in period.
