Shows current as well as peak temps. Only drawback that i could find is it has no auto shutoff. Forget to turn it off, it will be done next time you go to use it. Keep spare batteries for it. I installed one around my Rustler VXL motor, where it's completely protected inside the motor guard and it survived just two packs worth of run time. And I'm new to RC stuff so it's not like I was out jumping over a bus. Just putzing around over bumps and such.
