Was a die hard Deans user for years before switching to these. Deans are great connectors, but I got frustrated having to pull on the wires to disconnect them. These are a great alternative if you want a high end, high current connector that's easy to grab onto to pull apart. Using these on all of my batteries and speed controllers now.

These connectors are harder to solder in my opinion compared to deans. They also are harder to pull apart. If your new to soldering just get deans, it is way easier for a beginner.
