Much better than the hpi standard shocks for the savage. Go with at least 40wt shock oil on all the shocks. The shock piston that comes preinstalled seems fine. Although I have just jumped off of sidewalks with them so far. Overall improved handling. I haven't flipped over yet, like the hpi standard shocks. You only need 4 instead of 8. I used all the thick spring spacers.

Got these to convert from the old 8 shock setup. Smoother suspension movement and much better handling. However, on the 2nd jump (~10-12ft), I landed wrong, busted a shock cap and bent a shock shaft (2 different shocks). I had to spend $30 just to fix those two parts. Needless to say I'm back to the old setup and selling this one.

I just ordered these today and i am very excited! I got these along with 5mm xl tvps, sway bars, velcro straps for the battery boxes, the suspension kit and proline big joe wheels and tire. So far the shocks look awesome, btw i would use 45wt shock oilor more. Hopefully these will be great improvement over stock shocks.

My shocks are on its way, anyone know a good shock wt. to put in them for racing conditions??... I know these things are gonna rock over the stock shocks
