Losi 8IGHT Aluminum Rear Gearbox Bearing Inserts: 8B/8T

I run these in the 8ight buggy and truggy and both have the same issue with these. Once you get your diff put back together it is really tight and difficult to turn by hand. I have read one way to fix the problem is by shimming the left side of the diff case where this insert goes. I did notice when I pulled the left side back 1mm it did not bind anymore. I will just use a small piece of paper to shim it with as my friend did this and fixed the problem. I have only heard of this happening with the aluminum inserts.

Still a nice Hop Up as long as you shim the left side correctly.

Suprisingly this product did not work out for me. I installed a new rear diff but the aluminum bearing inserts did not fit as snug as the plastic inserts which resulted in some play on my axles. I tried several times to reinsert the inserts to insure that I was not misaligning them but they just did not give me a tight fit around my axles. This also resulted in loose inner gearing mesh between my pinion and rear diff gears. I was disappointed in this product.

Not sure if I understood the previous rating,,,, but I was having problems stripping out my rear ring and pinion gears then installed these aluminum inserts along with an new diff housing, and it really fixed the problem, note, when you do this, your rear diff will be extremely tight, so it will break in and have the right amout of play, I highly suggest this especially if you are running hi powered motors.....

aluminum i thought it would be better then the plastic that came wth the buggy, but was i wrong there is way more play in the new aluminum then the used plastic
