I was thoroughly disappointed with this truck. It was fairly durable, but very hard to drive. Out of the box, the setup is overly aggressive and suffers from heavy over steer. That by itself isn't bad, assuming you have rear traction. You wont get it. It's a very unforgiving truck to drive. The stock tires are total junk and are useless on anything other than a hard clay surface. The shocks are poorly designed and are difficult to assemble properly. The battery tray is fixed and doesn't allow you to adjust the battery position. If you have batteries with tube connectors, you will have to grind down part of the hold down bar. There are drivers out there who have had great success running this truck. You really have to know your stuff about tuning though. The first thing you will have to do is throw out the stock setup altogether. Plan on changing springs, wheelbase, shock fluid, diff fluid, ride height, new hubs and adding weights in key spots. If you are a beginner, I would definitely look elsewhere. You should get your feet wet with easier to handle trucks like the Slash, Blitz or XXX-SCT before trying out this turkey.

RTR means ready to Run. In other words, comes with electronics, and generally everything except a batery and charger. Kit means a bare truck kit, no motor, esc, etc...

The truck is tuff! Ill say that. We run an very tight indoor track and i am amazed at the abuse this truck will take...

But..........

I was extremly disappointed in this truck out of the box. This class being geared as an entry level ride i would have xpected AE to ship the truck so that it was setup with a touch of push.... the kit tires are un-usable. Install a 13.5 or better and the thing is doing donuts.. With there relation ship with PROLINE they should have included a set of proline tires. And included 3degrees of rear toe in..

If you buy this kit, dont bother with the kit tires but do save the inserts. I recommend bead lock wheels from proline as the front and rear tire mounting is different so beadlocs give you the option to swap front and rear tires. Grab a set up proline calibers or Jconcepts goosebumps and you will have much better traction.

Ive had my truck about 5 months and it is awesome. the only thing ive broke were bulkheads and i stopped that with the factory team hinge pin brace. I race my truck almost every weekend and it holds up great. The only things ive replaced are the stupid gear diff. and i got cvds. I also got new tire. i went with the jc goose bumps they worked great and tnow im trying bowties. The truck is awesome.

Build was pretty easy, nice instructions..but the car was pretty bad in my opinion. The steering was way to sensitive, and on the first day of racing, i had already $30 of broken parts..Not worth it in my opinion.

finished car and took it to track. had to make splash guard for back of front tires and cover my electronics. have to change pin gears thats about it. handles great cant wait to go up against slash . kept losing mud flaps should of used a washer. bought another diff going to try fuilds unstead of grease. and see what i like better. did not have to put shim behind sun gear. great Rc to add to my collection. -//- just finished building. great car to add to my collection. only thing i see wrong is that you have to cover your electronics because the opening from the front tires and the body. cant wait to take to track and show off my new truck.

Just ran my sc10 at my local track and it is an awesome truck. I know the Slash is not even in the same class but it out handles and jumps the slash hands down. Not even compairable. Sealed diff is the main reason why I bought the truck because I got tired of rebuilding the diff on my B4 and no more ball diffs! out standing quality and very similar to the T4 but longer. Someone needs to make tires for the indoor clay but the stock tires hooked up better than the most people thought. Probably not a basher's truck but it sure is race ready!
