The Venom Overheat Fail Safe is the best way to protect your nitro engine from serious damage that can occur when a nitro engine overheats. Once the overheat temp is set, the VST will constantly monitor engine temperature. In the event the temperature exceeds the set temp, the VST will engage the overheat Fail Safe and limit the percentage of throttle available until the engine temperature drops 5° C (9° F) or more below the set point. After the temp drops below the set point, the Overheat Fail Safe Mode will automatically disengage and return the model to its full operating potential.

Venom Power Smart Temp Fail-Safe
Thought this would be a great product. BAD mistake. The temperature probe is at least 30 degrees off from what a temp gun would say. The failsafe part doesn't really work that well. Still had run aways with my 1/10 scale sedan and glitching problems with the servo. Save your money and buy a temp gun to tune, it's easier and more reliable, and for the failsafe, use a spring or something of the like.

This device casued a ton of problems for me. I even had a problem with run-aways, signal loss and other little problems.
Took the "fail-safe" off and all problems went away. I convinced my friend to put it on his car and he had all the same problems. Unit is only good for checking temp. What a dissapointment.

I had high expectations for this product but it was a big disappointment for it only workt in myteryus ways particulary in my case something that seems like radio interference and delay and howe durable is it if i had driven in hard condichons (wet mud snow).. good idea though shame it doesn't work ...

useless. constant loss of signal with radio even though batteries fresh... only use of it is the check temp, but even then its under the body and hard to get at to see... cheaper just to get a temp gun. biggest waste of $50 i ever spent.

I owned one of these before and one word says it all JUNK. The fail safe part works only problem it works at about 100ft. on and off on and off. the temp seemed to function correctly.
