This is the Dynamite Platinum .21XP 9-Port Off-Road Racing Engine. This engine features an ABC 9-port piston and sleeve for increased power and performance. To produce higher level of torque and horsepower a 14mm turbo ported and putty filled crankshaft has also been used. The Platinum .21XP also makes good use of a 3 needle carburetor combined with an insulation ring for linear power delivery, adjustable midrange and less susceptibility to vapor lock. Another great feature of the Platinum .21XP is the carburetor sealing o-ring in the crankcase and finally a knife-edged connecting rod which is used for higher RPM's and less internal turbulence.

Dynamite Platinum .21XP 9-Port Off-Road Racing Engine (Standard Plug)
I do not personally own this engine but last week I saw this thing ran by Derek Weatherholt and WOW! He had that thing dialed considering he is sponsored. The track we were at was an indoor tight track with no straights and he came out of the corners with tremendous speed.

Dynamite Platinum .21XP 9-Port Off-Road Racing Engine (Standard Plug)
good motor I changed to dynamite hp8 30% fuel and put a jp 1 pipe on it and it came alive easy to tune great power run times are ok the jp 1 pipe hurts it a little but iam still getting 7 to 8 min a tank if i can be easy on the throttle i might get 9 min but dought it for the price it cant be beat its got me a podium finish a few times but I am goin to try a novarossi pluse 4 and put this on my other buggy ill compare and let you know how it stacks up against it -//- seems to be a good motor a little more bottom end would be nice i am gonna try a JP-1 and see what that does has good top and mid-range though I read on some forum not to put after run oil in them because it can break the putty in the crank down and make it come out don't know if that's true or not just what i read they say to check and see if after run oil is compatible with putty filled cranks

Dynamite Platinum .21XP 9-Port Off-Road Racing Engine (Standard Plug)
I ran this motor this weekend for our first big race of the season, the tune was a little off at first. After my buddy adjusted the needles a little I'm very happy, I bumped twice from the C main to the B then to the A main, not much time between runs and it never hesitated or died. Still the fuel consumption is a little high, about 8 1/2 minutes with the 9mm restricter. I'm going to try an aftermarket venturi, I hope it can get me an extra minute or so. I'm running 25% fuel and a mccoy #8 plug. I'm happy with the motor but beware if your tune is off a little you will think its a dog. I had my bottom end fat and top end lean, once it was sorted the engine ran very good and the temps dropped a lot and the power was very good, not as explosive as a Vspec, but it costs $100 less too. -//- I've only run it for about 3 tanks, I have an EB Mods Vspec I'm running for now. once that motor gets tired I'll try out the Dynamite. I just wish it got a little better fuel mileage -//- Just picked one up, looks high qualitly. Curious to see what kind of fuel mileage I can get out of it. What plugs do people run in these motors? And is there a turbo button that will fit this motor?

Dynamite Platinum .21XP 9-Port Off-Road Racing Engine (Standard Plug)
I don't personally own this engine, but I can pass on some observations. My fellow racing buddy (races in expert class) and has no problems winning against guys running RB, OS Speed, Novarossi, and other engines 3 times more expensive.

He's happy with this engine. It's reliable, durable, long-lasting, and stays in tune. He spends less time tuning than most of us do and thus gets more track time. This is one engine which proves that throwing money at your car doesn't win races. As for myself, I have an OS V-Spec and Go-Tech 7-port. I spend significantly more money than he does overall and I still can't keep up with him.

Moral: Track time and reliable equipment (such as this engine) wins races. Samuel Brock, the little squirt who has traded track time in order to spend dozens of hours trashing products here on Amain, just gets left in the dust.

Cold weather mc -59
Hot-weather mc-8
Run time 6-9 mins
Great engine!! -//- 21 reviews, It must be bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -//- AHH yeah been rippin this engine at The Nitro Pit and other Arizona tracks with great results, about 4 gallons and still has stickion with the plug removed!! Save cash and headache with this great engine. I have been using 20% fuel with it and love it, dont let the 9 port scare you off because you think it will have no bottom end, it does have plenty!! I have a 6 port SH and it also has the putty filled crank, 3 needle carb, I can hardly tell between the two. I am not sure what they did to the XP, but is better than the old version!! One thing that threw me off was the new carb, it is different and comes with the old instructions, this may have changed since i got mine. The mid needle has to be cranked in 1 and a half turns from flush. Get it !! You will luv it!!! -//- You get what you pay for and then some!! Seal it up and fire it up and hold on!!! -//- This engine rocks!! Bet it would be faster with a Samual Brock pro mod!! -//- No review reqiured !! This engine engine will set the track on fire , while keeping your wallet green and cool !!

Dynamite Platinum .21XP 9-Port Off-Road Racing Engine (Standard Plug)
I recently had the chance to run Trinity EX-Tech .21 EB Mods Race prep motor while my motor (A Dynamite Platinum .21XP) was on back order. I now have two race days with about 1.5 gallons of fuel through it. This motor has just as much power but I'm only getting 8 minutes to a tank, where the EX-Tech would get about 9.5 minutes to a tank. I have this mated to a Dynamite Platinum 053 h/c pipe in a RC8. If you are not getting more than enough bottom end power from this motor then you do not have it tuned right. Running 5, 7, and 3 in the diff's and can pull wheel stands at will and temp has been 218 at its highest For $260 ish you can't beat this combo.

this is a great engine 4 the $. the powerband is perfect 4 1/8 buggy.it broke in easy an fired up even easier.i run in joliet il at leisure hours an a few of us that r regular a main peeps run it.the only thing bad is that its a gas eater.but other that that we race against many folks with 400/500$ engines that r weak an unreliable.ive had bout 4 gallons in it an it seems like it did when new:)hell yea.dont care bout all the bad reviews 4 this product.maby plp should learn how 2 break in an engine an tune it b4 they mess up an expensive 1 or trash talk a sweet reliable non expensive engine that could kick the ass outta your wallet raping soon ta b paper weight:)

Dynamite Platinum .21XP 9-Port Off-Road Racing Engine (Standard Plug)
1/8 buggy (rc8) jp4 or Dynamite mid range pipe.

Claims of big bottom end power are just not true. Up top this thing rips. Our track is very tight and this engine just does not have the low end torque to do the job. I need to run wide in the turns to get it ramped up. I have tried three pipes (went all the way down to a jp1) and messed with clutch springs/gearing ect.
It takes too long to get on the pipe.
On larger more open tracks it’s a different story. Here the top end more than makes up for its low end weakness. Keeping this in my box just for some of the larger tracks I race on.
Best I can get is about 6 ½ min.runtime, being fairly conservative with the needles.

John im sorry you got bummed on this engine, I will tell you this Trinity EX-Tech is a great engine Its pretty much the same as the CL7B, its made in Italy by Sirio and that speaks alot for it right there!!! but i will tell you this, The Sirio CL7B STI is 320 bucks and comes with Ceramic bearing, its faster then the Trinity EB tuned verison and 30 dollars cheaper!! just a something for you to look at. I own 4 CL7B STI's I just bought them about 2 months ago and im totally in love with them, Im a big GRP fan right now but the CL7B STI is off the charts and one of them i have has 7 Gallons on it already and its still got really really strong compression so there gonna last well too!!!! I buy and test EVERY new engine that comes on the market and if you ever need tips on choosing an engine just email me I can tell you what you can expect out of pretty much every engine on the market!! samuelbrock82@aol.com -//- The reason i dont like SH engines is because my dad and uncle run them and 5-6 other guys at the track.... and they never get much more then 5-6 gallons out of them... there pigs on fuel and dont make THAT much power... this engine will NOT run with or "pull" any of your high end engines out there... hell one of my play engines a RB S3 L2G (180.00) will kill it on bottom and mid range and have about the same top end as this one and get 2 mins more a tank and last 8- 10 gallons... its 3 ports and this is 9 ports and it will have about the same top end.... I few people at the track run this engine and the LRP .21 and the SH 2004XB (there all based on this engine and parts from one to the other will work on any of them) dont get me wrong im not trying to be a jurk and this engine is NOT junk it is of pretty good quality but these engines are far from what I and any good racer would call a race engine... they will get you around the track and they will last you 5-6 gallons... but there is A WHOLE LOT BETTER of engines on the market for 180.00 now days hell the GO TECH .21 3 port race engine is 180 dollars and its faster then a V-Spec and will last 10+ gallons and the run time is 9 1/2 mins a tank un moded i have one i moded and getting 11 mins a tank... I have just started running GO TECH and im impressed VERY much with them... but i still wont run them at races just at track days....I run ONLY RB, Novarossi, GRP and Werks at races because they ARE true race engines....but people i know most of those engines are out of most peoples budget (im lucky i dont have a budget on rc i get what i want) but the GO TECHS arent there 180 for the 3 port race and 210 for the 5 and 7 port.... THEY ARE AMAZING the 3 port will eat this engine a live in EVERY aspect...no matter tho this is my IMVHO race engines are Italian and thats why they win the IFMARS almost every one... GO TECHS ARE AMAZING budget engines and thats about all i would put in my buggys and truggys...people will still buy SH and still have engines that wont last and arent good on fuel nor really fast and once again for the same PRICE you could have a MUCH better engine....and the comment about 12 gallons on one and it still had pinch left.... come on man ive been running nitro for about 15 years and I know you didnt get 12 gallons on this engine if you got 8 you was LUCKY and even if you did it SURE A HELL wouldNT have any pinch left.... I have gotten 15-18 gallons out of a few P5X and GRP engines but pinch will be totally gone 12 gallons or so and just have compression THATS it

Dynamite Platinum .21XP 9-Port Off-Road Racing Engine (Standard Plug)
I run the .21 and the .28 in my truggy and buggy. I have used and continue to use dynamites line of motors. I have never had one problem with one of their motors. I believe it all starts with how you break them in. You rush, your gonna shred it. The horse is good for both and they are easily tuned. Many fellas at my local track use them and they easily rival the Italian jobs. Just because it says Italy, and the price tag to match, does not mean they are great. I guess it just depends what competition level you are at. Who knows. We all like what we like and I happen to have great luck with the dynamite line and will continue to use them. Throw some ceramics in their and see what they do then!

wish i would of took your advise sam this mill is garbage its not all garbage just the carb had a low end bog that i could not get rid of lsn was all the way in and it still ran and was rich "what" should not run if lsn is all the way shut took out the int and put in a v2 crank case and used the pist and sl from the v2 and with the sw two neadle carb now runs great but thats not the point this mill is not worth it if you want to save some money get a go or the werks b3 but for me its time to stop buying cheep mills the extech is next for me -//- hey brock y have a sport engine when u can have a racing one instead. this engine is fast. break in sucked but i have no complaints if u want to save some cash and get a bad ass engine this is the one for u -//- broc lol at u for spending 3, 4 hundred on a motor that is going to last as long as 1 for 179! this motor has killer top end. their is not an itlain motor at my track that i cant keep up with n most cases im running away from them. we will c how long the xp last my other sh i got 12 gl out of it and still had some pinch.
