You need the kit mounts for the box to work. Same thing happen to me but I bought the Ofna Truggy Box.

i just got this starterbox for my 8ight rtr and my flywheel dont touch the starter wheel enough to start. do i get another flywheel or put spacers in the box?

this box sucks i bought it and it didn't last a month.so i bought new motors thinking i just got some bad ones but the new motors sucked to waste of money

really bad buy had this box for two months to start my losi 8Tworked fine till a motor burned out. Horizon replaced it under warranty and the second one for two days and the same thing happened. spent the same and get the OFNA OFN10250 that has 12v motor (lots of starting power)

Junk Don't buy it. I bought this ended up burning out the motors on a brand new OS Motor that had some pretty tight compression pinch. Go with the Ofna Truggie starter box for buggies and truggies. It's really powerful.
