This is a set of two HUDY 30mm Lightweight 1/8 Droop Gauge Support Blocks. These Lightweight chassis droop gauge support blocks are a “must have” set-up tool for every off-road or truggy racer. The aluminum frame is CNC machined and drilled for super lightweight design and precise dimensions that guarantee accurate & precise down stop measurements.
Proper chassis droop is a critical, but often overlooked set-up adjustment of modern 1/8 scale off-road vehicles. Proper down travel balance from side to side is essential for proper handling, and because of this HUDY has developed and produced the first purposefully-designed droop guage support block set for 1/8 off-road.
Using the support blocks is simple. Remove the tires from the buggy and using a flat Set-up Board place the chassis on the support blocks; place the front support block below the servo saver, and place the rear support block below the rear bulkhead. Using the #107717 Chassis Ride Height & Droop Gauge, measure the droop under the wheel axle hex. Use the down stop screws to alter the suspension droop on each side of the car; the shocks should extend out far enough that they do not limit the suspension arm movement. Ensuring equal and proper suspension droop will allow the car to achieve a proper traction level and weight transfer depending on track conditions. They are 30 mm and totally square. For that 5 stars. For the price, 1 star. If you can find anything else that is truely 30mm AND you're planning to use it with the Hudy set up station, don't bother with these, because the only thing they do is suspended your chassis 30mm off your set up board while the rest of the Hudy set up station measures toe and camber. (You do need to be suspended 30mm off your set up board while firmly pressing your car down -1/8 buggy- in order to use the Hudy set up station to measure toe and camber). Hudy also uses these to measure droop their way, but there are other methods.
