 This is a DirtChamp Design Personal Transponder, and is intended for use with the DirtChamp Design TimeR Lap Timing System. This is one of the smallest IR-based transponders available, with its 22x21x5mm footprint. Each transponder has its own world unique ID, ruling out any confusion of which user is associated to a transponder. It uses a red LED to indicate that its transmitting, and it has been encapsulated to protect it from dirt and to some extent water. The transponder is mounted on the side window of your car with either screws or servo tape and operates on 4.8-6.0V. All you need to do to install it is plug it into your receiver, drill a small hole in your car body to ensure good transmission and you are ready to go!
