This is the E-flite Carbon-Z Cub Bind-N-Fly Basic Electric Airplane. The Carbon-Z Cub is E-flite's first aircraft that delivers patented Carbon-Z strength and rigidity in a monstrous giant scale package. Like the full-scale Cub Crafters Carbon Cub SS airplane, this ultra-lightweight model by World Aerobatic Champion Quique Somenzini is astonishingly versatile whether your intention is to cruise gracefully or surprise scale admirers with envelope busting aerobatics. The extraordinary AS3X system keeps things under control, and its built into the included Spektrum AR635 receiver, allowing you to experience agility at a level that was never possible in the classic Cub form. Plus, it increases stability beyond what the original could deliver with a natural control feel no matter how you like to fly.

Based on a platform known for its legendary versatility, the Carbon-Z Cub makes giant scale so simple—now even more RC pilots can go big. Its enormous Tundra wheels tackle just about any terrain you choose to romp from, or you can easily mount the optional Carbon-Z Cub Float Set so no RC adventure boundaries stand in your way. A mechanism is included for towing sailplanes with wingspans as large as 3-meters and there’s even an optional camera mount so you can take one-of-a-kind images from a bird’s eye view. Even if you get carried away, the Carbon-Z structure is easy to repair.

A major part of what makes this giant scale icon so versatile is the control innovation package included as standard equipment such as the digital, metal-gear servos,  and slop-free ball-link hardware. Because the included flaps are functional, greater control at low airspeeds is possible in addition to the ability to significantly shorten takeoff and landing distances.

Although this aircraft may look tame, its brushless power system has been specially developed to offer incredible muscle for unbelievable STOL performance as well as the versatility to excel as a multi-purpose aircraft. Practically all that’s left to do is to bind to your favorite DSM2®/DSMX® compatible 6-channel computer transmitter for airplanes, a 3200mAh 22.2V 30C Li-Po flight battery and balance Li-Po charger.

E-flite Carbon-Z Cub Bind-N-Fly Basic Electric Airplane
This plane is a lot of fun to fly, I got both the 3300 battery and the 4400, I recommend the 4400 as it flys the same but with more power to climb vertically, it went higher straight up. You need to be careful when you land it, I ripped the edge of the elevator off when landing in a crosswind a bit fast, wingtip touched the ground after setting down in grass, elevator glued back on no problem. My first planes were the umx beast and inverza, this plane doesn't stunt like those two but is more fun to fly for me, I just use my other planes while the battery is charging for my cub. This planes is really big, I have a hhr and it takes up the entire length with the back seats folded down. I love how this plane sounds at full throttle, almost like a real plane. Battery holder is working ok but don't use a lot of Velcro tape as I was pretty sure I was going to rip the battery tray out with the battery, there isn't much room to get your hand in there and you can damage the foam. This is my 3 rd plane after about 2 months of being in the hobby, I love it, never thought I'd buy a plane like this but the cubs are really fun airplanes. As for durability of electronics I can't say, I've only flown the plane about 7 times, someone at the airfield suggested replacing the speed control for the motor because they burn up but i have no other experience with this. Overall awesome plane, would definitely buy it again, very happy with it.

E-flite Carbon-Z Cub Bind-N-Fly Basic Electric Airplane
I have had one for about three months. I am fairly new to the sport but have over 15 planes. I am an intermidiate
at best with most of my time on apprentice s 15 E and t-28. This is a wonderful plane to fly. I have flown this many time and it never disappoints on any scale. Power, grace and great performance with easy of control. The size always draws a crowd. If it has any issues needing improvement it would be stronger landing gear and struts. New softer and better tires would raise it from four to five stars. I love this thing!
