However, although its popularity remained high, Pitts was superseded by the rapid development of a new generation of acrobatic planes with superior performance. The Pitts Special S-2C symbolizes Pitts place in the aeronautic hall of fame. Retaining the defining features and characteristics of the Pitts design, improved aerial response is achieved through a newly designed main wing, fuselage, wing flaps and tail wing. Difficult acrobatic stunts are now done relatively easy. The kit is almost entirely factory assembled so getting in the air is only a few hours away after opening the box! Featuring light and durable all-balsa construction with beautifully colored and applied film covering, the workmanship of this aircraft makes is a great display model as well as an acrobatic flyer.
