 This is an optional Align Agusta A-109 Scale Fuselage, and is intended for use with the Align T-REX 450SE, 450V2, 450 Sport and 450 Pro helicopter kits. Align brings true scale to life with this beautiful rendition of the Agusta/Westland AW-109, dressed in striking red/white Coast Guard colors. The AW-109 (formerly the A-109), was developed in the late 1960’s as a single turbine platform, but was quickly redesigned as a twin turbine platform to expand its flight envelope and application. Utilized in SAR (Search and Rescue), EMS/Life Flight, Corporate and Coast Guard variants, the AW-109 has been a phenomenal platform for multi-role use, and is well known for its sleek, aerodynamic form, utilizing a retractable landing system for greater speed and efficiency.
