 This is the SwitchGlo Do-It-Yourself Push Button/LED Kit, and is intended for use with the SwitchGlo Pro, or PushGlo on-board ignitor systems. This Kit allows the do-it-yourselfer to build their own custom switch and LED accessory. This 3-way module is designed to be cut into 2 or 3 pieces:
- Accessory Port Plug-in (APP)
- Push button
- LED
The 3-way circuit works right out of the package by inserting the APP into the SwitchGlo Pro/PushGlo Accessory Port in either direction. Verify a working circuit before you cut the dashed lines to separate the circuits. Use scissors to cut the APP from the Push Button/LED circuit. You can stop there and cut your desired wire length. Strip and solder the wires from the APP pin 1 & 2, to their respective 1 & 2 pin on the Push Button/LED circuit. You can then further customize the system by cutting the Push Button/LED circuits apart to mount the LED in a totally different location then the push button. The ribbon cable will spread apart easily to accommodate separating the push button and LED circuits. Trim the edges as desired.
For extreme customization, SwitchGlo has provided a thru-hole red LED. It can be soldered right above the existing LED, short leg next to the white dot. You can also remove the existing LED to make the thru-hole LED brighter. For extreme tinkerers, holes have been included for a thru hole resistor in case a different LED intensity is desired. It is recommended that you remove the existing 120ohm surface mount resistor if you add your own.
NOTE: Requires SwitchGlo Pro Version 6 Firmware for LED to function.
