This is the Blade mCP X Bind-N-Fly Electric Collective Pitch Micro Helicopter. This helicopter will give transitioning pilots a more agile and capable collective pitch heli that will give them the confidence to master indoor aerobatics without the hesitance that comes with a larger outdoor only platform. Not to mention the cost makes it much more economical when learning.

Using an integrated Flybarless system, the heli gets up in the air without a mechanical flybar. The benefit of this system is reduced drag on the main rotor head. This results in more power, longer flight times, and the best of both worlds between stability and agility.

It comes out of the box 100% factory built and equipped with a factory-installed Flybarless 3-in-1 Control Unit with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2 receiver, ESCs, and gyros. This Bind-N-Fly version does not include a transmitter, making it perfect for those who already own a DSM2 aircraft transmitter. The Bind-N-Fly mCP X comes assembled with everything you need to fly in the box, including two 1S 200mAh 25C batteries, a single port charger with AC adapter and a 1S High Current Ultra-Micro Battery Adapter Lead. Just charge the battery and bind the helicopter to any DSM2 compatible aircraft transmitter, and you'll be flying in no time.

Features:

  • Integrated flybarless unit increases stability, control and power, providing the user the ultimate ultra-micro heli experience for indoor and outdoor use.
  • Capable of maneuvers such as inverted hover, loops, flips, rolls, funnels, and hurricanes.
  • Very low disc loading results in high maneuverability and good collective response.
  • Lightest heli in its class.
  • Two sets of blades included, fast-flight and high-performance.
  • Robust, long-lasting dual-ball bearing supported linear cyclic servos.
  • Two high-performance flight batteries included.

Blade mCP X Bind-N-Fly Electric Collective Pitch Micro Helicopter
My wife purchased this for me Last week and before I start I would like to say I have a Dragonous II 450, a T-rex 250, a Walkera 4G6 and 4G3, a Blade MSR, and a T-rex 450 clone. I would like to say That this thing is AWESOME. I can't believe how stable it is for a micro cp. I have been waiting for a super small cp for indoor flight and it has arrived in the form of the MCP X. The other reviewer stated it had bad vibration. This happened to me after a crash. All I had to do was make sure the drive gear was pushed on all the way so that there was no slack in the main rotor. Easy fix. I did notice that the blade tracking was off slightly, but as I stated, it is very stable. The only problem I had out of the box was that it was not bound to the transmitter (rtf version) but that was fixed after following binding procedure. I would say that for someone just starting out, maybe with some practice ( I learned on a cp so not impossible) but for the experienced pilot a must have for bad weather. It can with stand some minor winds though.

Blade mCP X Bind-N-Fly Electric Collective Pitch Micro Helicopter
Awesome. So stable. Simply the best indoor CP helicopter to date. I have about 10 Walkera indoor CP helicopters, including M120D01, V120D02, V120D05, 4G6S. I like this better than any of them.

Blade mCP X Bind-N-Fly Electric Collective Pitch Micro Helicopter
It's a great little helicopter for what is advertised. It'll do funnels, fly upside down, etc. But there's a caveat to that. Being that it's brushed and uses a modified MSR motor, there's a distinct lack of power that larger helos don't suffer from. While this may not be an entirely bad thing, the little bird is going to make you work for every little bit of power it has and even then if it's not setup right(like most CP's go figure :P) it'll flip like a turd, if at all.

If it's anything though it's durable. Myself and a friend got these. I bought a BNF to go with my Dx8, while he got his as his first heli. Needless to say that while he learns quick and can now fly pretty well (gotta love hands on learning with the reward of not being whacked if you fly right haha), he did beat the hell out of the mcp x and it kept on flying.

Overall I'd say this is a great little helo to own. It needs proper setup and will teach you collective management+radio setup one way or another. A few mods really make it better such as lengthening the tail boom a bit or using better batteries(it flies great for a bit then really badly tails off...even before the batt is dead...this is stock batteries though). Some folks have added brushless power which really makes it epic. I can only hope that horizon either makes it standard or into a add on kit.

Blade mCP X Bind-N-Fly Electric Collective Pitch Micro Helicopter
This heli is very stable agile, very cheap to keep it up running, and easy to fix ,very durable. I have encounter a few issues with some of the parts including the engine. but for the price still worth it. No HELI in the market with the flight capability of the mcpx can take the abuse and punishment that this little machine can. If u are a newbe get it cause is the best cheapest way to learn , if u are and advance pilot get it cause is the cheapest way to learn those new tricks that u just don't whan to try from scrach on your high end up machines .

Blade mCP X Bind-N-Fly Electric Collective Pitch Micro Helicopter
This heli looks very cool. Its my next step up from the mcx2 and I was hoping to at least get one flight in but as soon as I turn it one of the servos starts screaming. Broken right out of the box... I ordered another servo because it just seemed easier since my last customer service experience wasn't good. Definately not as durable as mcx and msr and not for beginners! Get a msr before going to collective pitch!

Blade mCP X Bind-N-Fly Electric Collective Pitch Micro Helicopter
I can’t believe people are complaining about this heli. It is certainly not a beginner’s toy, but anyone who has some exposure should be able to pick it up and go with too much trouble. It is stable enough to be flown outside (10mph wind) and tracks very well inside. It has been incredibly durable. I even let friends with only a few hours on fixed pitch birds fly it. The worst crash only broke the linkage from the blade grip to the swash plate. It costs $0.40 to fix. It is a cheap way to learn collective pitch and practice full 3D flying. My only complaints are that the gyro does not seem able to deal with inverted maneuvers in windy conditions and the tail motor cannot keep up. It is not quite as beefy as I would like. However, it is a fair compromise for such a small package and with a programmable radio to balance the tail motor issues it is a delight.

Blade mCP X Bind-N-Fly Electric Collective Pitch Micro Helicopter
This is literally one of the worst purchases that I have ever made. I brought it home, and tried to fly it only to see that it vibrates so badly that it just falls out of the sky. I then called Horizon, and after a 30 minute wait finally talked to someone about the issue. Apparently there is some magical fix that they are sending me, but I am honestly just going to put this piece of garbage on Ebay and recoup anything that I can. I can’t believe that they are able to get away with selling these things for $169.00… You would be better off buying a $169.00 paper weight (at least it would do what it is supposed to.)
