This is the Blade 120 SR Bind N Fly kit. The Blade 120 SR is a fixed-pitch heli that will give you the confidence to master the basics of single-rotor flight. Its unique rotor head was specifically designed to provide the inherent stability of a co-axial helicopter, but provide the agile control of a single rotor helicopter. Modeled after the popular ultra micro-sized Blade mSR, the sub micro-sized 120 SR is larger, faster, and more powerful -- which makes outdoor flight a reality.
It comes out of the box 100% factory built and equipped with a factory-installed 5-in-1 control unit with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2 compatible receiver, main motor ESCs, mixer, gyro, and fully proportional servos. A ready-to-fly version with 2.4GHz DSM2 transmitter and a Bind-N-Fly version without transmitter, for those who already own a DSM2 aircraft transmitter, are available. Both include a 1S 500mAh Li-Po battery and a single-cell, Variable Rate Li-Po charger as well as an AC power supply.

In CALM, >5MPH winds, the Blade is excellent performer outside. Forget about winds <5MPH, it's just too light...
3 things need improvement - The stock battery, the battery mount and the landing gear. The stock battery just doesn't have a long life. Pick up A Main's Pro-Tek battery, same price, much better performance. Both the battery mount and gear nedd to be beefed up; WAY too flimsy. Do yourself a favor, and buy a couple of extras of each.
Overall, the Blade 120 SR is an excellent micro to learn on, and also to fly around the house on indoor days...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
get 3 batteries
ps. only run like 2-3 minutes, then swap them out, fire them on the charger (once cool)and you can keep flying for quiet a while, batts have lots of punch & good run time, not draining them is very important to keep them at top voltage /run time draining them to the lv cut off will ruin them
i never got the hang of it, till i got the 3 batteries to keep in the air long enough to figure out how to fly it ...
