This is the Novarossi Plut 21-7FMS race engine. This engine was spec'd out by Jim Hottinger and Chris Nunez of Fusion Motorsports. "We were looking for a good engine combination for some of the longer tracks and short tracks here in Southern California." The new Plus 21-7FMS has great all around power for tight turns and long back straighs. Great power out of the corner, midrange, and pulls hard on the top end, we wanted an engine you had to use the brakes at the end of the back straight’s and not have to coast in.
"We started out with the new Plus case technology for max fuel flow, the crankshaft was chosen for bottom end power and filled to allow the engine to ramp up in RPM faster. We also included a ceramic rear bearing to free up the engine even more. The piston & sleeve we chose has 7 ports and higher timing for top end power complemented with a turbo plug combustion chamber. We have found from testing at Revelation Raceway in Montclair California that this engine combination just ROCKS!!" |
