This is the Futaba 3PM Pistol Grip 3-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Computer Radio System with the R603FF 2.4 GHz FASST Receiver. This is the transmitter and receiver only, no servos or mounting hardware are included. The FASST (Futaba Advanced Spread Spectrum Technology) system that did wonders for the 3PK is now available on the three-channel 3PM computer radio! The 2.4GHz modulation works directly from the transmitter, so there’s no separate module to plug in. Steer your car with the unbeatable combination of precision and convenience that the FASST 2.4GHz system offers!

The Futaba 2.4GHz system has the familiar feel and speed of the HRS, and adds the convenience of not having to wait for a frequency to open up.

Features:
  • FASST (Futaba Advanced Spread Spectrum Technology) sends twice as much information to the receiver at eight times the resolution of standard systems for unsurpassed control and smooth servo travel
  • 2.4GHz circuitry is wired directly into transmitter eliminating separate plug-in modules
  • Constant shifting within frequencies — no more signal conflicts or waiting for a frequency to open up!
  • “Auto-Detect” — instantly determines whether HRS or PPM mode is active in the transmitter.
  • Fail Safe — for both the transmitter(in case of interference) and the receiver (in the event of low voltage).
  • A wider range — for larger tracks.
  • Special ID code — prevents glitching by not accepting unwanted signals.

Futaba 3PM 3-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Radio System (No Servos)
Upgraded from a 3PM FM and never looked back. Overall, it's a great radio and even better with digital servos while using HRS. Even brought another receiver to use this radio for another truck.

Futaba 3PM 3-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Radio System (No Servos)
Just got the reciever installed moving up from ans XS3 it feels real smooth in HRS mode with real fine control. I think I am really going to like using this one. The only catch is I have small hands and it is a bit of a stretch applying brake. I'll probably foam it to fill the gap.

Futaba 3PM 3-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Radio System (No Servos)
I already had the other 3pm (Digital radio/Crystals receiver)and found it easy to navigate.
So it was only natural that when I wanted to upgrade to a radio with no crystals, this was the way to go, as I was familiar with the menu and feel.
Also no need for an after market failsafe, as it is already built in to the radio. Freeing up more room in my MBX5T radio box so I can now run a 2700MAH "MUGEN STYLE" receiver battery, instead of a standard hump style and failsafe.
Although I have found that the HRS mode wich I prefered for the programable failsafe, shortened the life of my Ace RC Digital Servo's, so I switched back to PPM mode as I was running on my previous radio.
I only have to REMEMBER to push the fail safe button on the back of radio after turning on radio then receiver. Failsafe possition set at neutral.

Futaba 3PM 3-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Radio System (No Servos)
This radio is the TRUTH on all levels!! I am not a racer and will never be so this is perfect for backyard bashers and weekend parking lot burners. I didnt follow the Nomadio and Spektrum crown because Futaba is and has been a stable, reliable platform for many many years.
This radio is lightnig fast even without HRS or digital servos! Add HRS mode or digital servos and it is crazy....more than you will ever need. BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!!

Futaba 3PM 3-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Radio System (No Servos)
OMG !!!

The best out there, only surpassed by the 3pks FASST sytem.
But the best value for money, it runs circles around any spektrum and is also faster than any spektrum radio.

Coupled with ace digital servos you'll have the fastest and best electrical system on the track.

Futaba 3PM 3-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Radio System (No Servos)
Awesome radio, i couldn't be more happier with it. I have the crystal version of it, which is also a very good radio, so this one is the same just without the hassle of worrying about frequency conflicts. Great range, and feels very comfy in the hands. I also like the blue LED light, which you can adjust the brightness on. Lots of usefull features, plus the 10 model memory is nice too. Also the RX is nice and small.

Futaba 3PM 3-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Radio System (No Servos)
Excellent radio for the price. Fasst system so no crystals. More functions than I'll ever use. ABS, brake mixing, programmable mixing, lap timer, exponential and the list goes on. The reciever and antenna are extremely small so packaging into the car is easy. HRS so you can take full advantage of the speed of a digital servo. More range than you'll ever need for racing. EPA's are extremely easy to set as are the trims.

Only 2 things I don't like about it. The foam on the steering wheel is not fixed so it can move and bind up against the radio. It's not hard to fix, just reposition the foam but it gets annoying. Some glue or double-sided tape would sort it.

The other thing I'm not a fan of is if you are running one or more analog servos and therefore, have to run in PPM mode, the failsafe is not so easy to set. Thankfully, I run digital servos and HRS mode which means the failsafe is set via the menu.
