Boasting user-friendly, track-tested tuning setups from top Losi racers the 1/8-scale nitro powered 8IGHT-T 2.0 Truggy Race Roller is professionally dialed and assembled in a race-ready configuration. The 8IGHT-T 2.0 builds upon the innovation of its predecessor by offering 37 newly engineered features and design elements.

The 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller is built on an extended-length Tuned Flex Technology (TFT) 2.0 chassis (14mm longer) which offers added stability and handling across all track conditions. This increased stability gives the 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller the ability to carry more speed into and out of corners, and to glide across washboard sections with ease. Tuned Flex Technology also provides significant handling gains by responding precisely to changes in terrain without sacrificing balance and grip.

The 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller includes updated steering geometry which features a servo saver with increased consistency. Additional gains in steering precision were made by incorporating a pressed-steel bushing in the Ackerman brace, which reduces friction over the entire range of motion. With the increased horsepower demands of 1/8-scale truggy racing, Losi Racing reengineered the dogbones and outdrives of the 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller to stand up to the abuse associated with serious off-road competition.

For balanced braking, Losi Racing designed 30mm front and 33mm rear heavy-duty brake discs that greatly improve brake feel and cooling. The heavy-duty design and construction ensures that you can accelerate further into corners before having to brake, allowing for faster lap times and quicker exits from the corner.

The alloy shock towers on the 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller have been strengthened and lightened for better on-track performance without sacrificing handling or strength. The suspension on the 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller features numerous shock mounting locations for several options in adjusting the suspension setup. The front carrier also features two camber link positions while the rear has four, allowing for even greater customization to varying track conditions. The updated suspension includes the use of 15mm longer front shocks and 20mm longer rear shocks, extending the amount of suspension travel for increased handling capabilities on even the roughest of tracks.

Utilizing results from worldwide competitions, the 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller includes a 50T center spur gear designed to provide the perfect gear ratio for truggy racing. Combined with the numerous advancements and updates to the vehicle overall, the result is an even more dominant performance on any track and in any condition.

A revised radio tray on the 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller optimizes the position of the servos, while increasing response time and reducing stress on the throttle servo. This design also allows for increased precision from the throttle servo while reducing weight. The sure-close fuel tank ensures automatic, positive closure and prevents air from entering the fuel system.

All suspension arms on the 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller have been extended a full 15mm for a wider, more stable base that maintains outstanding handling over any terrain. The extended width also allows for more stable entry into and exit from the corners, cutting valuable seconds off your lap times. Zero-Offset wheels were designed to keep the overall width within race guidelines while still offering incredible handling improvement. The 8IGHT-T 2.0 Race Roller also features an updated body design that increases air flow to the engine cooling head for improved engine performance.

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
Man, i wish adam drake would take turns driving for all the other manufactures, so they could sell their kits for 700.00 dollars too. What a huge bandwagon this has created.. thanks... -//- I agree with you todd it's pre-built and it's a great truggy, I looked at this truggy first, but didn't have the cash, they have gotten cheaper now. But how much are they actually paying the guy in taiwan to build this thing. All of the truggy's are very expensive, I like the losi rtr vehicles they will bring lots of people into the sport... -//- nice truggy, they are all getting better but, whats up with the prices, not amains fault about the prices but more the manufacture, thes kit are all made out of the country and they probably have much of nothing making them, they sell them for these crazy prices, i mean come on for the price it costs for some truggies i can rebuild my small block chevy engine and go racing full size cars. everybody likes to make money but da_ come on......

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
i have had my Losi for about a week now and absolutely love it! I cant compare to the other brands because Ive never owned any of them. I bought the Losi because they dominate at my local track. I do know that the truggy matches my driving style well, and is very forgiving.

This is a great truggy used to race the rc8t championship edition and the rc8b.sold them both for the losi 8 2.0 truggy & buggy.Team Associated does not come close to the losi.Handling is much better and stable.Losi much much stronger dont have to worry about thins falling out or breaking during a race. Changed the shock oil to 35wt all round.Really great cars i will recomend it to anyone.

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
This is a great truggy, it's competitive to any brand out there. Straight out of the box setup is good for any type of track. Make sure and set your servo endpoints correctly or you will fry any hi-end servo.

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
Hmm The #1, #2 and #3 trucks at our track are 8ight-t 2.0, 8ight-t 2.0 and 8ight-t 1.0 the rest fall in line after including AE, MUGEN, and several other 'high end' rigs. I've run most of them and will be sticking w/ my 8ight-t as well :) Great setup iMO, use a coupon if you want a better deal...

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
I've driven/owned all the current Truggies and have to say without a doubt the 2.0 is the best of the bunch. Where as the previous version was a "driver's" car, meaning if you were very aggressive it didn't work so well. "Smooth is fast" was the motto for the previous version. This version while still very responsive is more forgiving. If you have the "aggressive" driving style like I do. It works just as well. Very neutral!

Its also very durable. But IMO, so was the previous version. I've never had durability issues with the Losi.

I do give it only 4 of 5 stars for a couple reasons. Being a 2.0, I'd expect the bugs to be worked out of it. But mine had a problems with the flywheel clutch set-up. The springs hung up. I read on-line how to fix this problem. But again, this is not a new clutch set-up and should have been a non-issue. Shocks pulling out of the shock ends is also an issue I experienced. Easily solved but should not have been issue. Overall, high marks for an excellent truggy.

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
Overall it is an awesome truggy! Handles well and has many improvements over the original 8T 1.0. I am dissappointed in the quality of the build however. Mine arrived brand new in the box with leaking diff, a broken dogbone and 3 out of 4 shock ends were stripped out from being improperly installed at factory. Called Horizon and they sent warranty parts in 2 days! I sugest a complete once over before you run the truck...check for leaks, lose screws, etc. Also needs longer screws to mount camber links to shock towers and on the wing mount...easy fixes. Several racers have issues with bearings failure on rear hubs...upgrade to Kingz Headz or Integy or you can machine the stock ones so you can use larger bearings. Continuing to hear of racers having servo failures...just like the original 8T...I have yet to experience this personally. Overall the performance out ways the flaws but difficult to give 5 stars when paying $600 and needing so many tweaks right out of the box! Losi has a great car but need to work on quality control.

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
Got one of these for the wife to race. She loves this machine. It is a dream to drive. So easy to make this thing cut corners. The drive train friction is so minimal that the wheels spin freely and create a very fast accelerating truck. My only complaint is the tolerances of the suspension parts are a little loose. But unlike other High end cars it drives great out of the box and doesn't need a gallon of fuel ran through it to start handling great. Good job Losi. Now sale it with better tires or drop the price and send it without.

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
The 2.0 Radio tray does fit in the 1.0 Buggy and Truggy however on the buggy some slight mod (cutting) of the plastic chassis guards is required, not on the truggy though.

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
I believe you are referring to the losi 8T 1.0. If so your review belongs there not here. This is the 8T 2.0. Sorry to hear you did not get very good service. Any time I have dealt with Horizon they were very helpful. This truck ROCKS!!! -//- Absolutely amazing truggy. Nothing comes close to it. It has crazy accelleration and steering. It handles the bumps like no other and is an absolute dream to drive. It feels like a buggy but with the stability and rough track handling of a truggy. The new bodw is kinda a love it or hate it situation. When I first saw it I hated it but it really grows on you, I love it now. It is really THE truggy to have right now and I don't see that changing for quite some time. Losi has really outdone themselves and the competition with this one. The truck is tough as nails and performs. It WILL make you look like a better driver. Couple this truck with the new losi smart diffs and nothing will touch it.

Losi 8IGHT-T 2.0 4WD Truggy Race Roller
Rudy what are you talking about? Even the older 1.0 losi truggies never bent cvd's. The new 2.0's are made from an even harder material and have ZERO issues as far as bending. Instead of posting useless stuff go back to the D8 threads on rc universe where you belong..........lol........ :-)

The T 2.0 is THE truggy to have for 09.

I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. I like the Kyosho MP9. I like the Odonnell Z01B. I like the OFNA jammin X1X CR Pro buggy kit. This is my first choice of 1/8th chassis as soon as $$ permit.
