The RC8T-RS is a winner right out of the box and is 100% pure Associated, having been designed with the many years of race-winning experience and 23 IFMAR World Championships that only Team Associated can claim.

The RC8T-RS comes fully assembled and set up, ready to hit the ground running. Team Associated's Pro.28 engine and XP3D Computerized Digital FM Radio system are factory installed. The differentials and shocks come filled with silicone fluids, making it faster and easier than ever to get Team Associated performance out of the box and into the dirt!

The RC8T-RS's suspension features four composite 16mm 'Big Bore' shocks featuring extra large bladders and 4mm shock shafts for smooth action and durability. The shocks hang on 3mm low profile black aluminum shock towers for strength and reduced weight.

The RC8T-RS has a full-ball bearing drivetrain with 4.30:1 ratio gear boxes, and a high-torque capacity three-shoe clutch does the job of getting all the power to the drive train smoothly and efficiently. Getting the all the power to the ground is a set of six CVAs all featuring captured pins for bullet-proof reliability.

The backbone of the RC8T-RS is a strong and durable 3mm black hard-anodized 7075 aluminum chassis that has been designed to take all of the punishment and abuse that a competitive 1:8 scale truggy will have to face in stride.

Team Associated RC8T-RS Race Spec RTR 1/8 Truggy
So...My friend bought this RTR and I was originally going to comment on the factory team section but Being that Ive only driven this version Ill be fair and keep the review here. Truck is really tough and can take abuse but some initial impressions were that the plastic quality is garbage. Borderline toys r us quality. The truck does NOT STEER. tighten the servo saver alot and still nothing on turns. As a matter of fact the servo just crapped out on within days. Axle pins bent, rear hinge pins...bent, motor mount screws flew off numerous times and the motor mount is like a real P.O.S. The tires are hard compound and seem to last a long time. Small amount of shock adjustments, which can be both good and bad. needs to be properly set up out of the box, the factory set up gives you ZERO camber in the front and barely if any in the rear. Just not impressed.

On a positive note though...it drives pretty nice. Its very "safe" and predictable and allows you to be aggressive and hold its line, even if it doesnt turn well. You have to come off power and brake to slide this thing around...no fun powerslides unless you start messing with serious set-ups. Jumps real well and level but could be better with the throttle inputs in mid air. Like I said Ive driven it and I wouldve just bought the kit to begin with but after driving it Im not thrilled but its a god truck. Im sure its good with the right set-up.

With that said I would much rather look at a Mugen or an XRAY XT8 09 SPEC. I personally bought the Xray and I mop the floor with the RC8T daily lol.

This seems like a good buy at first and it will get you hooked on Truggy's. However, the servos are junk and won't last. The engine is powerfull, but finiky to tune and will only last 4 to 5 gal. before it's junk. You will go through clutch bell beerings constantly with this motor. I bought two of them and had to replace all servos and upgrade to a Novarossi race engine later on. Also, unless you have an inside connection with AE, you will wait at least a month for them to return parts to you under their warantee of 90 days. In retrospec, I would buy the Factory team kit and add the right servos and motor and then you will have a good car for the same price that it toook to build these RTR's to race and run properly.

Where are the "verified owners"? None of you are. So you could just be full of it. No help from these reviews at all. You could be telling the truth, or you could be lying, or you could just be a loose nut behind the wheel and just plain abusive. You shouldn't post reviews on A MAIN'S site if you don't buy from them. I think you are all just big dorks with nothing else to do. Now I think I'll buy this truggy and prove you all wrong.
