Team Associated MGT 8.0 RTR Monster Truck
This is the truck to get if you are seriously into just having fun. I have modified mine like others but nothing is like the MGT. May not be many mods the only nessecary mod I would reccommend is a Roll cage from VGracing. We have flipped this thing over 12 times nascar style wreaks but it seemes to race away with no issues. Only issue i have ever had is tranny issues but this company is on it when it comes to service and support not only that they are personable which speakes volumes. You won't be let down here. I've have traxxas, and soon going to a Tamiya truggy. I am interested in the HpI as well. Each one has something to offer, but for shear blinding accelleration with many great laughs you will be glad you grabbed the MGT. A word on porting the Piston sleeves little changes are better. I'm fond of the LRP power plants. I over ported one and the results were almost un drivable first it was a pig on fuel , and second you had to be very easy on the trottle ore it would just flip right over with just touching the gas. I don't know what I did but that bush hog whas just crazy fast and just spur gear breaking tourque. I went through three spur gears. It would just snap off like five or six teeth. clutch bell no issues.
Great RC truck a must have to any collection

Team Associated MGT 8.0 RTR Monster Truck
Hello This site Kicks %$# so much stuff at really good prices
This truck is a Standard 4.6 Ae truck with an 8.0
been Beating the piss out of it within respectible means
All I was able to break was I melted the AE S2008 MG
probably cause I was running 6V to it had 2 missing screws
for the Steering assembly so I took it off the Wheely bar
till I get replacement Over all breakin was smooth
just need to adjust the mix metering screw since it
was off and had no documentation about it
except what the screw was
Fuel thank is too small for this big engine hopefully they'll have
a replacement thank soon stock 150cc should be around 200 250cc
Glimbs anything with the twitch of a finger
Snow banks mountains ditchs are no match
The spur gear is warped don't know if I got a dud or not
but was not made true and that could cause lack of power
damages to the bearings or spur
Over all this trucks lotsa fun and will jump anything at the twitch of
a finger

Team Associated MGT 8.0 RTR Monster Truck
I own an losi XXL & a Savage XL and this, the shock towers could be improved it loves to eat the fuel but when bashing if you change the shocks & RPM the arms & steering knuckles, change the tires to proline trenches & get a roll cage from NEW ERA MODELS "NOTHING" will catch it going uphill or in loose sandy conditions when you hit that trigger people look !!! p.s it needs a 2.4 remote a new high torque steering servo & titanium turnbuckes but even after having to spend all that extra money as I did with my other trucks I still like this the most besides my buggy's & truggy's.

1 word : "TANK" this thing is unstoppable. I have a savage flux and i'm scared to break the flux compared to this thing. Massive power, shocks are insane, did some lawndarting and it pretty much shovels the turf with no damage to the truck. FM radio is nice. I like my flux but this is more bang for the buck

Loads of power, great speed once she hits second, but still handles well.
Not sure if shocks like big air yet, but they do a real good job of soaking up bumps on a rough track.
Have raced buggies and truggies on my local track and have surprised, and in some cases beaten, hard core M/T knockers.
The Associated radio is pretty good, although I'd use a better receiver battery.
10 points for a great rig.

Team Associated MGT 8.0 RTR Monster Truck
Great truck very durable but doesn't jump well. Nose heavy and is not the truck you want if your track has RC scale MT races like the full scale ones. My track has two jumps and one lap. I tried my MGT and if failed miserably, body post's, hub carriers and turnbuckles also break easily. I love the truck and will keep it but cannot compete with it, my T-Maxx has a much better balance.

Team Associated MGT 8.0 RTR Monster Truck
I've had this beast for about 4 mo. now and still can't believe it's speed, toughness and fun. I've jumped it about 20 foot(off skate board ramp into grass), cart-wheeled across yard and slammed into another MT several times and haven't been able to break a thing except when running on a narrow patch, hit my leg at about 30 and only broke frnt r/s a-arms, tires so soft it didn't hurt. Wheelies sheer off rear bumper bolts to support. Upgraded to RPM a-arms. The only reason I give it a 4 star is because they still need to make tuning a little easier and after the 4th tank I started up and noticed the clutch bell bolt was gone and destroyed entire clutch, $90 for the parts a little high. Locktite IT!! ALSO where the rear bumper screws to the support arm: remove the 2 bolts, drill thru and bolt and nut it, so when the bolts break u won't have to replace the support and bumper. You will love this MGT especially if your good at tuning.!! ON AE forum there is thread for adding a 2nd fuel cell. WORKS AWESOME.

Team Associated MGT 8.0 RTR Monster Truck
A lot of truck for the money!!!! The big 8.0 broke in nicely and seems to have no trouble holding a tune. Tons of power on demand make for some spectacular wheelies!

The chassis may be the same as the MGT 4.6, but the drivetrain was beefed up to handle the monster 8.0 engine. And handle it it does! I am quite surprised at how bulletproof this truck is. I had several "holy Sh*t" moments when I thought it would be game over for the truck, but nothing has broken at all so far!

A very good truck and definitely worth the money!!!
