The 1/8-scale 8IGHT 2.0 4WD Buggy Race Roller features over thirty revisions and improvements to the revolutionary 8IGHT buggy chassis. The 8IGHT 2.0 Buggy proved to be the fastest buggy in qualifying by taking Top Qualifying honors at the 2008 IFMAR 1/8 Buggy World Championships. This buggy also took Top Qualifying honors at the 2009 ROAR National Championships, as well as the win!

The chassis on the 8IGHT 2.0 has been extended an additional 2mm to provide increased stability and speed. The chassis’ Tuned Flex Technology provides significant handling gains by responding precisely to changes in the terrain without sacrificing balance and grip. Steel chassis droop stops have also been added to ensure consistent down stop settings.

The 8IGHT 2.0 includes updated steering geometry which features a servo saver with increased consistency. Additional gains in steering precision were made by incorporating a pressed-steel bushing in the Ackerman brace, which reduces friction over the entire range of motion. The suspension on the 8IGHT 2.0 allows for customization with numerous shock mounting locations, two camber link positions on the front carrier and four on the rear.

A revised radio tray on the 8IGHT 2.0 optimizes the position of the servos, while increasing response time and reducing stress on the throttle servo. The sure-close fuel tank ensures positive closure and prevents air from entering the fuel system.

The 8IGHT 2.0 features high-quality 7075 aluminum shock towers that reduce weight for improved on-track performance without sacrificing handling or strength. The dogbones and outdrives of the 8IGHT 2.0 feature improved steel materials to withstand the abuse of competitive racing. The rear hub design incorporates an updated inner camber link, a revised shock tower and simplified camber locations and the durability of 3.5mm outer rear hinge pins.

The rear gear box on the 8IGHT 2.0 has the capability to shim the rear ring gear from the pinion to ensure ultra free drivetrain. Also included on the  8IGHT 2.0 is a left side keyed insert to improve durability.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
by far better than the old one, after one month i just drove mine and it is something different, if compare with the others you can really drive super fast this buggy on the whole track and it is not easy to get out of shape, jumpping and all around better than must of others buggy out there, it is not easy to get out of shape it is just something new even if it do not look like it is, just buy one and find by yourself, it will not dissapoint you (i had d8 too heavy,mbx6 it was like butter broke mine 3 times in one week,rc8 just too much steering and many others)like samuel said this is the one for me.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
I got this buggy just 2 days before race day.Put in the engine n all the electronic stuff taken out from my other brand buggy.Tweak it a little bit to my liking but mostly i go with the factory setup.Break in the diff in my garage n took it to the track the next day for racing.Only had a chance to drove for practice half a tank of fuel. And guess what??It won the very first race!!Man..!thats was a great moment for me and my new ride! This buggy was born to be the champion!Im so glad with my decicion to go with this buggy. Its handles like a dream. And now after about 15liters of fuel later im still feel very impress every time i drive it.The TFT chassis is awesome.I can see how it correct it self while in the air.I will never change to other brand ever unless if i get sponsored.:-)
Updated..35liter of fuel so far and nothing breaks.Had replace the front centre drive shaft, bearings and fews hopups like centre smart diff, alum chassi brace, lightweight drivetrain and lunsford titanium turnbuckle. Its handle even better now.No problem at all with the wear n tear coz i strip it n clean every time after race.We won 1st place in sport class buggy this season with full point.Looking forward to race in pro class next season

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
I have driven every vehicle out there and out of all of them the losi is the easiest and most complete buggy out of the box you can buy. losi by themselves have great support for all of there customers with tech tips, website, and blog on there website. there is a lot of information out there to help you. i read the last guys post, he said his car breaks too much and losi needs to fix this. i love these guys, "its never the craftsman its always the tools right". almost all of these vehicles will show signs of abuse and wear. but if you maintain your car and take care of it, it will last longer. if you are looking for a dialed setup out of the box this car is it. drives well with the basic setup almost anywhere.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
I had to buy the EU kit from London it's a shame you can't get them here they come with tools and hop-up parts . Just waiting for the Fioroni hop-ups & Lunsford stuff I ordered from here to put it together . It's a kit , which I love "This is the only time I'm going to cheat on you A-Main I know your unable to sell them here ", but all of my parts come from you . I bought the hot mods TORO from here but Ithink it's probably a little to much for the buggy so I think im going to buy the modded plus-4 . thanks Tankgyrl

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
Hi guys. I am about a gallon and a half through my losi and might I say, WOW! This thing is indestructible. Only thing that broke was an A-arm and that wasnt the car fault, I lost frequency and it ran into a concrete wall. But didnt get a scratch on it! Totally worth the Price!

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
I have over a year and a half on my losi and I must say it is bulletproof. I have around 50 trips to the track on the buggy and I have broken 1 a arm and that was because the buggy went flying out of the track at the end of the straight and hit the fence... 10 feet away from the edge of the track. I have never rebuilt the diffs and only rebuilt the shocks once and it runs like the day I got it. The buggy corners great, has a ton of forward bite, jumps effortlessly, and is extremely durable. I will admit it is a bit overpriced but losi has always been overpriced. Its a great buggy though and a lot of fun. Very little difference between this and the 1.0 so if you are on a budget, pick up a 1.0 for dirt cheap off of someone who thinks their driving skills will go from crummy to great by going from a 1.0 to a 2.0 haha.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
Overall great buggy. The design of the car is awesome the only thing that holds it back is, compared to other buggies like Mugen, and Xray the parts quality is a little lower. You will have to replace worn parts out more then say a Mugen or Xray but performance wise the buggy is awesome. The buggy likes to be driven hard, the harder you drive it the faster it will be. -//- Has been an awesome buggy for me. It has been greatly improved over the 8ight 1.0. The only downside to the vehicle is the Servo arm and spring. The servo arms are breaking but putting the 8ight-T 1.0 spring setup fixes the problem completely. This is a minor problem and is still 5 out of 5.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
I've been running the 8ight 2.0 for almost the entire season this year and have become very satisfied with it. Initially I was concerned about the reviews that spoke about premature wear of parts but after about 3 gallons thus far I have yet to experience this. I do have a thorough cleaning regiment so this could have made the difference but at the same time I've put this buggy through hell on the track; a rough track at that. Its proved to be dependable and tough.

The one thing that I would emphasize with the 8ight 2.0 is that it does well in the hands of the average Joe like myself. The wins that factory drivers make with a vehicle means little to me. The importance lies in how well a vehicle works for the club racer and its my observation that the 8ight 2.0 can offer a lot to that group. If you treat it well, it will treat you well.

To those who depend on these reviews to make a decision, I would recommend you disregard those from folks who don't even run the product they're reviewing, particularly those by Merdith Roach who has nothing of use to say. Seriously Merdith, this isn't a forum for you to post your irrelevant opinions. Your beginning to embody your surname.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
Hi guy's:
The Losi 2.0 buggy is really a great buggy, forget about the wear of the plastic, every cat has that problem down the line.
I just sold my 2.0 which I bought secondhand from I bloke here in S.A.
I had some problems with front diff, and the center diff gear's broke on me.
But when everything was sorted it was really a big joy to race,I sold it to buy a brand new one,for next season.
I had RC8 and a X Ray 808,but the losi is just a better car for really racers.
The X Ray is very good but not as fast as the losi on the track,so that's my review on the Losi 2.0 Buggy.

Just do iT,Buy one and i promise u will not be disappionted!!!!!!!!

Thank u for reading my Review!!!!

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
Merideth Roach.... why would someone who does not even own a car have 5 reviews of it????? I think you must get your a** handed to you every week by a Losi and it makes you feel better to bash it. Deep down I think you wished you owned one. How about keeping your "reviews" to things you actually own.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
If you buy this buggy get the smart diff in the center with 2 .15 springs cady corner cut 2.5 coils off and use smart diff grease. It will drive twice as good. Raced this buggy every week now for nine months and it still is clean. Smart diff in center makes it turn perfect and has tons of forward bite. Anybody who drives it with the smart diff wants to buy a one. 5-smart diff set up above-2. -//- I have raced this buggy every week now for seven months and it just keeps going. Same bearings, only rebuilt clutch shoes once, and only broke two parts durring practice. This buggy is fast and agressive. There are some hop ups needed though. Heavy duty clutch bell and rear aluminum bearing inserts are a must. I also really like the hd brake disks and steel flywheel. This buggy is fast and I will buy another losi 8ight 2.0. -//- The most important hop ups for this buggy is the hd brake disk, rear aluminum diff bearing insert, aluminum servo horn, aluminum servo saver and new tires. This buggy is the best and I love that it has endless hop ups. There is alot of hop ups so I just wanted to state the ones I found to be the most necesary to help out. -//- Try 3000 front 4000 center 2000 rear diff oil for small tracks. Turns awsome and has tons of aceleration and punch. My buggy feels like it wieghs 1/2 and is very agressive do to the light oil. It even jumps better. Also 3 degrees toe out on the front wheels and Drake/Truhe 2.0 Buggy setup. With this setup you can drive very consitant and agressive on small to medium tracks. Just try the light diff oil and toe out! -//- This buggy is the best design ever. It is still ahead of all the new buggies that just came out. That is why it still sales the best too. Losi 8ight 2.0 is the BOMB! Just got it in the mail and it is bad a#%. IF YOU WANT TO WIN DRIVE A LOSI.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
The 2.0 is a great improvement over the original 8ight. ....of course, anyone who has one already knows this. I guess the review is for those who dont own one and maybe has the original. Its definitely the same overall car in a lot of ways; especially when maintenance is concerned. I never have liked working on the 8ight or the truggy either; but, thats racing. There are some easier to maintain vehicles out there that perform well; but, this car is just a monster on the track; any track. The design is a very proven winner at the club level all the way to the pro level. Its not much fun to work on but the effort pays off big time on the track!! If you have the 1.0 and want a new car, I highly recommend this car as a first choice. -//- I have the original 8ight and the 2.0 is much more stable through the rough sections and whoops. The car feels very planted and jumps just as good as the the first car.The changes are just enough to make this car an improvement over the original and still be an 8ight!

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
i've owned both 1.0 and 2.0. though the 2.0 is definitely more stable through the rough stuff (TFT chassis, increased length, improved susp. geo, etc.), i can't say that i've seen much of an improvement over the old.

things still get sloppy, quickly. the new, "more consistent" servo saver has given a few folks problems at my track (too stiff). mine came overtightened, locked all the way down w/o any spring compression left. makes for some abused servos, horns, and steering linkage. after setting properly, seems OK.

the only time this buggy seems quicker is through rough sections / whoops, where the stability makes for smooth sailing.

in all honesty, for the 150+ price difference between the old and 2.0, i would have rather selected specific hop-ups to remedy the known problems. though on the surface, these #ed improvements add up to more than the difference, i never really had any real problems with the original - and this hasn't shown to be any faster for me...just maybe a little easier to drive.

nonetheless, a great buggy. superb handling, great parts support.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
I own this buggy and have had it for some time so I have driven it. It is the best most reliable buggy I have ever had. I have put in hours and hours of racing and practicing and have only broken a wing mount nothing else. I have done regular maintenance diff oil and shock oil nothing else. I have friends that have the first losi that seem to break alot but mine is solid. I must say I agree with Mike about Losi bashing Roach do not take his or her word for this buggy. Buy the Losi you will be happy besides it looks cool.

Losi 8IGHT 2.0 1/8 4WD Buggy Race Roller
hey Merdith Roach,

why dont you just STFU ?

You F'n bash everything you dont like. Why the hell is your opinion so valid ??? Where are your race results ?? go ahead, and post us a link to some from a valid well known race or series . until then, STFU. no buggy is gonna work when idiots like you drive them into fence poles all day. Your reviews are pointless. i would bet my left nut that you havent owned 90% of the stuff you crap on all day in your reviews. I dont even own the losi buggy, so dont get me confused with a sour losi fanboy after reading your reviews. its just that enough is enough, your a jerkoff, and its very possible that you could be turning potential customers away with your absolute nonsence. Your engine reviews are also quite comical. Your bashing is so predictable and fits the trend of someone who goes on the track and has no clue how to sucessfully race, so you bash everything. Most of the regoinal team drivers can use basically any product and win with it. I've even seen a bunch of races recently won by pro's using Go tech engines. smarten up, or grow up. please choose. or just STFU.

For anyone reading this guys negative feedback, please throw it out the window, and dont base your purchase's off of them. If your intersted in really knowing how a product works, go to the track and ask someone who is fast and sucessful with the product what THERE opinion is. You would be a fool to ask the guy who completely sucks and if doing donuts in the turns. These guys are bitter and blame there bad skills on products that they justify as not working for them.

anyway, i'm gonna speculate and believe that the majority of intelligent poeple out there simply laugh at your opinion and reviews anyway. But if this post saves one person from your nonsence, then i'll feel my time here writing this was justifyed.

thanks for listening.
