This is the Team Associated Factory Team RC8.2 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit. Taking what they learned at the 1:8 World Championship in Pattaya Thailand, the engineers at Team Associated took the RC8.2 to another level and in doing so achieved its ultimate racing potential, which has been proven by winning the 2011 1:8 scale off road R.O.A.R National Championship with a 1-2 finish by Ryan Cavalieri and Ryan Maifield. The RC8.2 Factory Team kit has a long list of new performance parts, making it the best and lightest Associated 1:8 scale buggy to date.

The RC8.2 Factory Team starts with the new Factory Team +3mm 7075 hard anodized chassis. The new chassis and side guards add 3mm of length to optimize weight distribution and overall handling. To further improve handling, the RC8.2 Factory Team kit received newly designed suspension arms featuring centerline shock mounts and an optimized anti-roll bar position. The new suspension arms were designed to work with the Factory Team 5mm 7075 aluminum low-CG shock towers to improve and optimize the suspension geometry, making the RC8.2 Factory Team kit more plush and forgiving in rougher terrain.

The RC8.2 Factory Team kit includes the 16mm “Big Bore” hard-anodized threaded shocks with 4mm titanium nitride coated shafts and revised shock boots to help increase traction and keep the rubber on the ground. The RC8.2 Factory Team kit also proves to be an exceptional value, including many Factory Team parts that were previously only available as separately purchased upgrades. Take your 1:8 scale buggy game to the next level with the new RC8.2 Factory Team kit, and drive what the winners drive!

Team Associated Factory Team RC8.2 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
I have owned all AE 1/8 buggies from the original RC8 to the RC8B and now the RC8.2. All I can say is this is the best buggy AE has put together by a mile. I have also test driven HB D8's, Losi 8ight's, Mugen MBX6's among other buggies and the RC8.2 has the best jumping and acceleration/braking. Out of the box, the only thing I would change is going 5-5-3 instead of 5-5-5 for the diffs just for a smoother exit out of corners. After a whole day of racing and a 1 or 2 big crashes, the arms and links held up fantastically and held the setup all through the race day. Looking forward to good times with this buggy :D

Team Associated Factory Team RC8.2 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
I will start out by saying the bad things about this kit, although few they are still present. First off, the manual that comes with the kit is not up to date with the car. Do yourself a favor and download the manual from Associated's website to save a little frustration. The only true problem with the kit is the axles. I have built 2 of these cars and both of them had a problem with one of the six CV axles. One car had an unfinished end, and the other had a center cv pin that was not fully drilled out.

On to the good things. The build went smoothly and was pretty straight forward, everything but the tiny problem went together perfectly. The new updated buggy drives more like a truggy where it needs to. Turns on a dime, and is a bullet, like how buggies are supposed to be. But it flies straight, doesn't get very unsettled by bumps, and is predictable in a straight line like a truggy. This makes for a very fast car. The only thing I can say about driving for others is drive smooth, don't go for it because the more you overdrive it, the more it will bite you in the ass. So be smooth and you will love this car!

Team Associated Factory Team RC8.2 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
Almost done putting this buggy together. Buggy is high quality but I recommend looking at the instruction manual online because associated has updated the manual online and is a little different than the one that comes in the box.

Team Associated Factory Team RC8.2 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
Having put several RC8B Buggies together in the past, this kit does not appear to be of the same quality in the packaging and assembly region as previous versions. Bags not matching assembly instructions, several small bits missing: the product quality is still very good, but it appears the packers need to brush up on there reading skills.
the finished product drives very well, and still has that " tough to kill" feel .

Team Associated Factory Team RC8.2 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
Bought this when it was on sale to get back into 1/8 buggy racing again couldn't pass up with a price under 400 buck stock setup out of the box was to light on shock oil for me went up to 40 wt all the way around and blue associated springs all the way around completely change this buggy but was still missing some rear traction drilled the zero hole in rear tower and put in avid 1 low pill in the d plate and wow this thing is dialed hooks up better than the rest.

Team Associated Factory Team RC8.2 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
The buggy itself is awesome. I have the werks b5 engine and this thing is fast and handles great. I had two problems with assembly. First the rubber boots are really hard to install and ripped 3 of them trying to get on and had to make a trip to the hobby shop. Second was I was missing some screws for mounting the servos. Also the manual was missing some steps but really easy to figure out. Just get the buggy its worth it only broken 1part and I drive it almost every day
