  • RACING FUEL TANK: Utilizing HPI Baja 1/5th scale technology the D8 implements a clunk design which will use every drop of fuel available.

HB Racing D8 Atsushi Hara Edition 1/8 Off Road Competition Buggy Kit
This d8 atsushi hara edition is the shit. I just got it about a week ago and took my time putting it together. Man the parts fit rigth up to par, No slack of any-kind whats so ever and the power plant im using is a alpha engine model s28 .21 and man dose this car handle very well. The car is well balance no matter what direction you put her in, point and she go's. I took the car to the race track location, Nearest to my home. Which is called Gun hill raceway and believe me the track located in the area were I live at is very shitty. Thats when you know if your car can hold its owen and this car hell up exceptionally well two thums up for this ride. I love this car and for the price you get a lot for your money, you can go wrong. This (D8-ah-edition) rocks and to add a little icing to the cake this car almost won its second ifmar would champion ship. To make it even more interesting this car is the lease expensive of the bunch in the 1/8 scale buggy class and yet its racking wins under is belt like crazy!!!

HB Racing D8 Atsushi Hara Edition 1/8 Off Road Competition Buggy Kit
I got this buggy to replace my Zo1B-SG a few months back and man I'm glad I did. This buggy is the best Bang for the Buck you can get. Good parts availability and support as well as ease of maintenance and it comes with a nicely designed one piece engine mount that makes engine swaps a snap! Take out four easily accessible screws, loosen your pipe and linkage and out comes the engine without disturbing your gear mesh! And now for the icing one the cake. This thing is well balanced and easy to set up and it handles great and all for less than 400 bucks! So if you are looking for a good buggy that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, I recommend this one for sure!

HB Racing D8 Atsushi Hara Edition 1/8 Off Road Competition Buggy Kit
First thing, the build was simple. All parts bagged properly. Minimized screw set. I converted mine with the Tekno V4 kit and Tekin RX8 combo. How sweet it is. The kit comes with all of the cnc aluminum hop-ups you'd ever need, including ALL rotating parts (all lightened). I stuck with the standard Hara setup w/ my brushless (other than 10k center diff fluid)...and it seems pretty dialed. Best bang for the $$ out there, without a doubt. Seems durable...we'll see about the longevity of the plastics.

HB Racing D8 Atsushi Hara Edition 1/8 Off Road Competition Buggy Kit
I think the choice of chassis very personal for each practitioner! The market is full of great choices of chassis, with quality, strength and technology! But most people tend to defend their choice with radicalism! I've ridden great chassis, other brands, and each has its own qualities! If the price and world titles of each brand are important, everyone would buy a Kyosho! But HotBodies created a great car that debuted in 2008 as world champion, 2010 and 2012 vice 2nd and 3rd place! What a nice resume for a beginner. Congratulations to the title Mugen 2012, and the D812 is welcome.

HB Racing D8 Atsushi Hara Edition 1/8 Off Road Competition Buggy Kit
Ran my first two races with this car and damn! I love it! Steering is super predictable and it flies very controllably. I will admit the plastics don't seem up to par with some of the other brands but so far it hasn't been an issue. So far this is my favorite buggy to date. If you factor in the cost... you can't go wrong with the D8.

Do you guys know what size clutch system to use on this car? Example: 34mm, or 32mm, or 36mm?
