Team Associated Factory Team RC8B 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit w/RC8.2 Upgrade Parts
Just switched to the RC8B from the Losi 8ight 2.0 and I couldn't be happier. The RC8B was a great build with great features. My Losi 8ight 2.0 was slopped out something awful after only a couple of gallons and all its handling went out the door at that point. The RC8B is holding up much better and the handling has stayed top notch tank after tank.

Have 2 x RC8B and 1 x RC8.2. The $399 special is extremely good value for money, and you would really have to be a hard driver to destroy one. I have raced them for 3 years, and apart from normal maintenance of drive line bearings and such, and normal wear and tear, have not busted a thing, not to mention replacement bits don't cost a fortune.

Team Associated Factory Team RC8B 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit w/RC8.2 Upgrade Parts
I had a Losi 8ight 2.0 and thought it was the best car in the world. After awhile I wanted to build a kit and try somthing new. All I can say is that I am sticking with Associated for GOOD. The RC8B handels like a dream and the only thing that happened to it so far was a slightly bent outer hinge pin, and that was 3 months after I bought it! On the losi i always had a screw fall out or the shock rod end would get stripped. Thanks Associated for a GREAT Buggy.

I love the rc8b. Every car has its weekness and the front knuckel pivit bolts are the place with this one. Take some time and use RED loc-tight. Other then that build this buggy by the book and go win races! I changed over from Losi to AE just to try something else out and love it. You can realy turn this buggy and forward bite is amazing. I'm not backed by anyone but I run at the front of the pack with other people who backed. This is a place that people who owne or have owned the product can voice there opinion. Please keep it that way. If you had a few too many drinks keep it to yourself. I hate haters! But love my AE buggy.

The review written by "This Thing Sucks" only proves that the stupid are now everywhere. Build quality is as good as most cars and is certainly better than losi! These are high performance cars manufactured to high tolerances, they do require maintenance and precision assembly. Without proper care any car will not last long! I've raced with RC8's many times and have developed a respect for them. They are fast and stable and I have found them to be very reliable, most often it is the other cars at the track that break. For the price this is an excellent kit- IT won't be the reason you lost the race!

Team Associated Factory Team RC8B 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit w/RC8.2 Upgrade Parts
Hope this buggy is better than there last! the original rc8 was the biggest p.o.s ive ever spent money on. yeah it handles like a dream jumps well was a great driving buggy but COULD NOT stay together. either an upper a arm would break or the a,b,c,d plates would bend cuz they were cheap thin aluminum or a front shock tower would break in half. but i see they have "upgraded" everything with the 7075 aliminum so it should be a better buggy but who knows we will see. not bagging associated or anything i love my associated cars they have always been great but the rc8 buggy i have is a pos, truggys amaizing but not so much for the buggy

Team Associated Factory Team RC8B 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit w/RC8.2 Upgrade Parts
Well i want to start by saying i own 2 rc8s" the RC8BE and the RC8B. They both handle amazing, jump well and look great too. The way the car is build is great everything is very well thought out. the majority of screws go into nuts so you dont have to worry about stripping plactic. BUT the materials used to build these cars suck ass! Especially the plastics and hinge pins. People can say its all about skill and this this and that. Truth is even being a skilled driver, the car won't stay together. The things i break the most are steering rod ends, rear hubs, caster blocks, or the outer hinge pin will bend till it falls out the rear arm. alot of this is due to the poor landings at my local track. but either way the losis, hot bodies and mugens jump the same jumps and land on the same flat surface without issues. I want to make clear that im not the only rc8 owner at my track that has these issues. Steering rod ends are worthless, if you land wrong, tap the tubing or just drive normal with your servo saver to tight it will break.
Im not bashing associated cars as i will continue to run mine for 2011. So if your a beginner by something else it will cost you less in the long run.

Conculsion: Its an amazing buggy, just needs alot of maintenance so if you have deep pockets, this is the buggy for you. otherwise find somthing more durable.

Team Associated Factory Team RC8B 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit w/RC8.2 Upgrade Parts
I bought this car. Its so good. I enjoyed building it. Good Quality parts. The steering is really good. People complain about how the rear is loose, but thats just an excuse for sucking at driving. There is so much control and its Not hard to go fast. But to go fast with Any car, no matter how easy to drive, it still takes skill. The rc8b is super fast around turns. You can drive this car really hard and still maintain control. No wonder, ever since they released the rc8b both Ryan Maifield and Ryan Cavalieri have been winning almost every big race.

Team Associated Factory Team RC8B 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit w/RC8.2 Upgrade Parts
I bought this kit as a RTR to get back into the nitro scene. When I bought it I knew nothing and this kit provided all you need for the beginner. Since then Ive upgraded it, and its been a champ. The weakest part of the car is the upper top plate, one good smack and it would break ending the day, King heads plate is good and sturdy. I think this kit is perfect for someone starting out that wants to be mildly competitive out of the box with little know how. Add some aluminum replacement parts and tune the motor and it does scream and is competitive. good buy in my eyes

Why do people use the review areas as a forum to discuss this thing...ITS A REVIEW, GO ON RCUNIVERSE.COM, RCTECH.NET OR OOPLE.COM to discuss this thing.

This buggy's build quality is horrible. Nothing special about the way it handles. All my trackmates have 1 and are switching to 808's or Losi cars. This thing just doesnt do as well on the track as some others do. They get left in the dust every time and at every race. If you want a good piece of advice...go Mugen, Xray, or even Losi (even though the Losi are high maintenence). I just rather have a car that can PERFORM. This is not the one.

Stormer Hobbies has it for 449.99. A-main you are not being competitive on the market. you should be number one on every RC car price.

I have the original rc8 and the rc8b, the rc8b is still new. I just finished the state series, and placed 2nd in sportsman buggy with the original chassis, I cannot wait to run the b version next season! I did do a few mods on her, forward battery location, aluminum top plate, updated stock steel hinge pin plates(no problem from them) rtr chassis braces, steering mod, and 2nd version extreme shock towers. It has been great and I could not ask any more from her,(my wife calls her the other women!) great buggy if it fits your driving style. A+
