Monster truck innovation reaches a new high in the Traxxas Summit. Equipped with the first-ever remote locking differential system (patent pending), the Summit allows you to independently lock and unlock the front and rear differentials right from your transmitter. In second gear, Summit delivers all the fun of blazing down the track or trail and attacking jumps at speed with the sure-footed feel you expect from its E-Revo DNA.

When the trail ends in an impossible climb, there’s no need to turn around; just drop the transmission into first gear for a super-low 70:1 gear ratio and lock the front and rear T-Lock differentials for maximum traction. When you’ve cleaned the climb and it’s time for a high-speed descent, flip the switch to unlock the diffs, grab second gear, and hit the trail. Summit goes where no solid axle truck can thanks to its exclusive linkage based suspension system that includes unmatched suspension travel, tunable progressive damping and independent ride height adjustment.

The proven 16.8 volt EVX-2 electronic speed control delivers massive torque through a powerful Titan 775 motor. Threaded-body aluminum shocks and dual digital, ball-bearing steering servos give Summit precise handling in any terrain, at any speed. And for total control even in wet conditions, Summit is equipped with exclusive, fully water-sealed electronics. Only Traxxas makes it possible to run through water, mud and snow without worry. Summit is offered fully assembled and Ready-To-Drive® with the TQ-4 radio system and EVX-2 electronic speed control.

Traxxas Summit Electric 4WD Monster Truck RTR w/EVX2 ESC & Batteries
Well IMO I think the Summit is awesome. I totally think that any one who wants a RC to go bash around with and some times crawl around, This is the monster for you. As for the question above my gps showed it's top speed at 32.3mph. The stock tires are a little soft with the foams they have in them for bashing around but crawling they are just about right.

Traxxas Summit Electric 4WD Monster Truck RTR w/EVX2 ESC & Batteries
Pretty cool setup with the lights, locking diffs and being water proof, but I've already got problems with the front diff, on the third run. Luckily Traxxas is sending a replacement. All in all its just an e-revo with big tires, lights, and different body.

Traxxas Summit Electric 4WD Monster Truck RTR w/EVX2 ESC & Batteries
I saw this today, Traxxas had the FULL display set-up with demo....I chit chated with the Traxxas rep for about 10min about this truck.

This truck is really nice. My first thought when I picked it up was, "Man, this thing is heavy!".... The remote locking diffs is really cool, it's set-up using a linkage system that has 2 tiny micro servos. The low gear for crawling obviously, but the high gear is the get up and go gear. The lighting system is pretty trick. The body is pretty heavy too....it felt like THICK plastic instead of the normal lexan bodies we're used too. Suspension wise...........revo suspension with the long travel rockers. The new tires that Traxxas is selling are ginormous!

This truck looks 1/8 scale IMO.

I'd get one if I was Mr. Moneybags......it's a good alternative if you're looking for a crawler and a basher truck.
