Stampede® has always been the first name in monster truck fun, but with Velineon brushless power on board , the ground-pounding, high-speed wheelie popping antics are completely over-the-top. The included wheelie bar keeps the altitude in check but with this kind of power, the wheelies don’t stop just because your going over 50mph. If you have you're nerve, and the skill, the fun is just getting started! With a top speed of over 65mph, the Velineon™ Brushless Power System is designed to let you explore the outer limits of what’s possible with brushless. Chances are you’ve never experienced throttle response and speed like this in a monster truck. Tough and unbelievably fast, Stampede is the ultimate play truck that’s always at hand, ready for instant R/C fun. No matter what kind of R/C racing you’re into, a Stampede VXL belongs in your arsenal.

Out of the box, the Velineon Brushless Power System is optimized to put down the rock-crushing torque, massive horsepower, and precision throttle response you expect from brushless. Most of all, it’s brushless done the Traxxas way: brutally fast and easy to use. Just plug it in and satisfy your need for extreme horsepower.

The Velineon Brushless Power system takes the guesswork out of enjoying the benefits of world-class brushless power. The system components work together as an optimized package, engineered from the start to deliver the ultimate in efficiency, speed, and run time. With the Stampede VXL, your battery selection determines your speed and skill level. Velineon accepts the widest range of battery types, including the latest 3-cell Lithium Polymer packs (3S LiPo packs). These packs pump out over 11 volts of power for intense speeds beyond 65mph! Nothing else even comes close. Built-in low-voltage detection in the VXL-3s™ Electronic Speed Control conveniently helps you maintain your LiPo battery packs in top condition.

The Stampede VXL is 100% Ready-To-Drive® right out of the box with the TQ™ 2-channel radio system, and the Velineon Brushless Power System. Just take the Stampede VXL out of the box, charge up a battery, and go have fun! Stampede VXL is the ultimate thrill ride that is perfect for monster bashing or wheelie-popping madness. Hot new Stampede VXL graphics combine with the black-chrome wheels for a mean monster truck stance.

Note: This kit uses the new Traxxas High Current Connectors to connect the batteries to the electronic speed control. So if your batteries have the old style molex connector,  you will need an adapter TRA3062, or to replace the connector on your battery with TRA3080 connector.

Traxxas Stampede VXL Brushless RTR (w/Battery & Wall Charger)
I love this truck. The combination of the VXL and a 5000mah Lipo lets the Stampede show its real power. I take it to the park or softball field so it can have lots of room to build up speed. On asphalt install a wheelie bar for some solid wheelies! I have ST Racing aluminum hex hubs since the plastic ones were stripped in the first few runs. I also added some ST racing steering knuckles and hub carriers for added durability, since I like to hit big jumps. Many Traxxas plastic parts can be replaced with durable, inexpensive RPM parts and you will get prolonged use from the upgrades.

Traxxas Stampede VXL Brushless RTR (w/Battery & Wall Charger)
Very fun truck. I have had mine for a year, broke a wheel hex, stripped out a rim, the back left bearing carrier,a spur gear (had the cover off, and rolled it with no shell.) and broke the servo saver (thats it). not bad for a year, and i run the #$@^ out of it. i have a maxamps 11.1 5000mah lipo, and some venom nimh's. stock geared i prefer the 8.4v nimh, it has a good power to wieght ratio. change the pinion to a 25 tooth and slap the lipo in there and its very fast. just watch the temps. you try to run the stock gear with the lipo , you wont have esc heat prob, but you may have the motor get hot from just spinning the wheels if your in the grass, (on the street, there is no problem with that) but wheelies are gonna be the flavor of the day either way you go when you go lipo. (the nihms stock geared arent too bad either for wheelies). So glue the rear wheels to the hexes, dont run in extreme cold cause plastic gets brittle, keep the gear cover on it, and never run without chell, and replace the servo saver with the kimbrough? thinks thats the name. and this is one of the baddest two wheel electrics on the market.

over all this is a great car, but me and my friends each have had the same problem. in all 4 vehicles the esc's have failed. even the replacements sent from traxxas failed so i would reccomend a sidewinder esc or a mamba max if you can afford it.
it has a tendancy to roll over on fresh grass, i.e. green grass on a football field, and especially on tarmac. get some spare spurs because if you dont get the slipper right, the metal tranny will not forgive you.
not my favourite car but still a good basher
